Who else thinks that there should be an official IGB to TBT conversion rate

I see so many people worried about the TBT infaltion and I honestly think that the people in charge should make an official conversion rate so people can steer away from the people who want a ton of tbt for a small amount of IGB.

Anyone else agree?

It's kind of gonna be like th DA points for tbt. People aren't allowed to trade tbt for DA points yet people are still doing it. It seems that the mods do not check and monitor around the forum so even then, it'll take someone to report it. Everyone wants to get the most they can for their tbt so there is a good chance that no one will even report it to notify the mods and lt them know. No one will follow the rule, just like afew aren't following the no things worth rreal money for tbt rule, people still do it.

i understand why it's not allowed, but there are plenty of ways people get dA points without buying them with rl cash anyways - especially using dAHub, which is the source of most of my dA points. i'd rather not buy dA points with rl cash, so trading for tbt sounds so much faster than using dAHub and other points accounts and i'd rather go that route instead

Lets say the rate was 2m IGB for 100 tbt (Just an example) I would go to someone offering 2m IGB or lower for 100 tbt rather than someone doing 3m or more IGB for 100 tbt

I think it's viewed as the same as the collectible prices. Everyone just lets the community play.

dude even if that was just an example that rate is way too low considering even back in march it was only 1 mil for 10 tbt

I think this would be a good idea, but considering how many people still dupe even though they're not allowed to, and considering that the mods probably won't make it an official thread/thing and won't enforce it, I don't think it'll actually happen, unless a LOT of people agree with it and there's a huge following/petition.

We got group restocks, after how many months of waiting and hundreds of signatures, so if enough people agree with this it might possibly happen, who knows.

Even by the time the months are over, there will be more bad than good seeing as damage will be made

Exactly. Seeing as the mods are not enforcing some rules even when it is obvious, it won't make a difference.

I agree that the rates should lower, but I don't agree that there should be an "official" rate that everyone has to use. I didn't even know DA points for TBT was against the rules until today, as that many people have been selling/buying DA points. If there was an "official" TBT to IGB rate, people would just ignore it, as they do with the DA point rule. People want as much IGB as possible for as little TBT as they can pay. Which is one of the reasons that TBT to IGB rates are just going to keep rising.

I don't know why this is such a big problem. Honestly, it is probably more efficient just to post a ton to get 100 TBT than going back and forth to and from the post office dropping 200+ bags of bells in someone's town. If someone really wants to do that, then let them do that.

Also, along those lines, hacking or duping for unorderable items / DLC would be a lot faster than hacking or duping for bells (I'm not encouraging this, I'm just stating a fact.). Why would someone waste their time dropping bells when they can get 100 TBT for a 7/11 set or a sloppy set, etc.?

This is a nice idea, but I doubt it will happen. There has been lots and lots of debate in the past for similar ideas and it has never happened before...

I am surprised it's gone up this far. Because dropping that much bells or even with the retail method, I'm surprised people would be willing to do it for such little BTB. It's so tedious!

I should have hoarded back in the day when the rate was 100,000 IGB to 100 BTB. Stupid me.

This is my view on it.

If a strict guide to follow won't be for anything else, I doubt it'll be for TBT/igb conversion rate.

I don't think it's really necessary. People cheat to get so many bells sometimes, and implementing this would be nice, but not necessary and probably near impossible. And it's basically forcing people to do that much, and get people who hack even more TBT :/
