Who else is saving their nook miles?

I'm so excited to see the May Day islands.
I can only assume the tickets will be like NMT.
I have about 22k nook miles right now and plan to save them. =3

Does anyone else wonder if the MDT will become a currency on the forum in about a week when they launch? Lol

I have no idea how the May Day tickets would work. It would make sense that we would buy them for Nook Miles. It depends on what we end up getting from the tour if they might develop a very limited time currency in trading groups.

However, I have been saving up miles to buy a batch of NMT when I'm ready to go island hopping for villagers. I only moved in 8 villagers right now and I am surprisingly content with having that few.

Oh goodness! I'm so excited too. I hope they work the same as NMT/are purchased in the same way. I don't know if I'm saving nook miles specifically because I'm sitting on a stack (I tend to trade in bells so they add up) but the currency bit is curious. I'd guess it will probably be more about the items/DIYs from the event than the MDT but it might drive down the cost of NMT even further (from 250k+ ish from a week or two ago to 150k-200k now)

I have roughly 70 tickets printed & stored (specifically so I don’t have to waste time printing any on the day I have to find a new villager, so a random one doesn’t move in!) & 20k miles unspent on top.

It took 16 days before my 2nd villager requested to move... and it was literally THE ONLY VILLAGER I WANTED TO KEEP. The other 9 could have moved. I was so mad. I scanned my kabuki amiibo and invited him in (had already completed 2 of his task, so i was just waiting) since I knew I would probably have another 15-17days before the next person would want to move again. T^T

I'm actually saving Nook Miles to get NMTs for my island hopping this weekend. Probably it depends on what I will get out from the May Day Tour (will there be villagers there to invite? Rewards worth getting?)

It is possible that by May 1, I've already have my golden trio and probably have enough for the May Day Tour.

I was saving, and burned through a bunch of my NMT while island hopping the other day. Ended up settling on Sherb, and still have about 40k to spare!
Now the grind begins again so that I can kick another villager and begin again haha.

Although if Mayday islands bring any new villagers or other fun things, imma be spending those miles faster than ever!

I've been banking them for a few days now after a recent island hopping spree. Up to 35K and hoping to spend a couple hours doing Nook Miles + this weekend.

There isn't a lot to buy with NMT in-game right now apart from a set list of projects so I imagine there's going to be more uses in the update tomorrow and in the future.

I am pretty worried about that for once I have my dreamies. Though, one of them is Raymond so I have a looooooooooooong time before I need to worry about not needing NMTs.
What to do with all my miles then?
I do hope they eventually add where you can purchase the other color variations of the mile items.
Or more fence options.
Or more recipes in general...

i've been saving because i'm a hoarder at heart.. lol! i have about 50k miles saved up, not sure if i'd spend them on may day island tickets tho? i'd probably play once or twice but after that i think the novelty might wear off and i'd go back to terraforming/landscaping.

Ohhh I feel your pain!! I messed up at the start because I didn’t realise the game would give you a villager a day if you didn’t invite someone, so stupid me built all three houses without inviting anyone and ended up with 3 random ones I didn’t like, then my first forced camp visitor I really hated too So like half my villagers I want to replace! I’ve been worried about the glitch so I haven’t even dared use an amiibo card, but tbh I don’t have many of characters I love as they’re all so expensive now!

Fingers crossed we both get rid of someone we want gone, soon!
