I am trying to collect all the seafood now as the next few days I am working really long days and I am having no luck on my island so I am visiting another South Island wish me luck

I hadn’t even thought about prepping I think I will just wait and get ingredients on the day. I have lots of pumpkins and I collect mushrooms daily. Have finished crafting items so would be nice to use them. Happy to help if I have any leftover

Ayyye—I got mushrooms galore! They’re super easy to collect with all my trees. I wasn’t gonna prep until I saw the guide, gahaha. Now it’s countdown time . And thanks! I’m slowlyyy getting my different pumpkin variants. I only have enough room for about 10, cus I don’t want my island to have too many pumpkins.

I’m planning to do it on the day of since it gives me a reason to go in the game and if i run out of time, I can extend the day by rewinding the time a bit. I haven’t been picking my pumpkins and have a decent amount in storage, so I think I am set on pumpkins. I have been picking mushrooms every day and have bough a stack of some earlier from LittleMissPanda, though for the event i make mush furniture (I want to avoid using these as much as possible, but i can always buy more from her if needed ). Ah... Fairly recently and in the last few months I sold most of the crabs and other diving critters i was hoarding for the possibility of sea creature models .

LOL, it’s always when you don’t think you’ll need your items, then BOOM—look at this new event that requires fish and diving creatures . Pumpkins and mushrooms are easy for me too! I’ve been hunting the fish and diving creatures, so I think I got enough to make 4+ of each dish.

I've done a bit of fishing and diving, as I don't know how much time I'll have to try to do that on the actual day. Still need to get a couple of things but if you can trade with villagers, I'll do that.
Looking forward to seeing this event in action!

Yup! I’m hoping that villagers might be able to help with missing items, or even hand out DIYs. It would definitely hell. And I hopped on the fishing and diving as soon as I saw the guide, haha. Gotta make sure I’m set come Turkey Day.

I am focusing on getting the underwater items first before I go fishing haha. I was on my island for 30 mins and now I go visit a random island online and I have already found 4 things I need and I have only been on her island for 10 mins haha

Does anyone know if we have to make multiples of each recipe? Or can we only make one??

I looked through the guide and got quite overwhelmed by how much we have to do lol so I clicked off and didn't think about it... but now I'm unexpectedly in self isolation so when I inevitably give up on my school work I might try and ease myself back into animal crossing properly with preparation for this event! should be quite fun to have some dedicated tasks I have to get done

I am tempted to get all the ingredients now, but decided not to. It's a good thing and very considerate that all the fish and deep-sea critters required are available to catch all day.

I've been stockpiling mushrooms. I haven't looked up how the day will go. I'm just basing it off of what we did in New Leaf. But I always remember being low on mushrooms! That won't happen this year!

I have prepped by leaving a huge empty spot on my island for the most part haha. I'm planning on crafting some of the maple stuff to scatter around the area too. On the actual day when the new items unlock I'd really like to create a Thanksgiving table area and have some friends over to take pictures and hang out. I'm worried about getting everything set up in time but we'll see what happens!!

I definitely want to start prepping! One of the ingredients I saw was a sea creature that I’ve never even encountered, so I’m going to work hard on catching one in advance. I already have pumpkins and the Manila clams are easy enough.

Hey, y’all! So I ended up looking at some guides and information for Turkey Day, as it is time-locked and I need more time to prepare. We apparently have so many ingredients to get? LOL. I was overwhelmed and was like, “they expect us to do all this in a day, especially if we want all the DIYs? .” Are any of you prepping and stockpiling ingredients? I’mma make sure that I can end up not stressed and frustrated.

I am so glad I have read your post and the link you sent! Otherwise I wouldn't be ready at all for turkey day lol since I haven't fished at all. The timing couldn't be better since Tia will be leaving tomorrow and so I will gather materials on mystery islands while looking for a new villager.

Thank you for sharing this information with us, OP! I have spent most of the time this month shooting down balloons. I'll do some fishing/diving tonight and tomorrow evening, so I'm not as pressed for time come Thursday. ^^ It's a big relief all the fish and deep-sea creatures are ones that are available all day.

I already caught all the fish & and sea creatures needed.
But I'm still confused about this event.

From what I understood, Franklin will give you the big food dish (cornacopia?) or something if you gave him all the ingredients.
How does one get the furniture DIYS then?
Also, do we need several of these ingredients or there's a limit to how many times Franklin will cook for us?

I just saw a game guide on Instagram from a account called 8bitbish and it had a guide how the whole day is going to run and how to unlock everything. It looks like the next day the 27th you can just buy all the turkey day diys from nooks cranny. If you didn’t want to cook and play the on the 26th

I have been prepping by deep sea diving and gathering up clams. Thanks goodness I left my pumpkin patch in tact from Halloween so I’ve got plenty of pumpkins.
