Who are your Dream Villagers, and why?

I'm curious to know who everyone's dreamies are, and why they chose them. Was it because they had a cute design, you had an experience with them in another AC game, because of their tier, etc?

My dreamies are Cherry, Goldie, Lolly, Whitney, Julian, Marshal, Apollo, Papi and Leonardo. I haven't picked a peppy yet, but I'm leaning towards Apple or Pompom.

I chose Cherry, because her Japanese name was the same as mine (Hannah); Goldie, Marshal, Whitney, Lolly, Pompom and Apple I've had in other towns and loved (Lolly also had the same birthday as me!), and the other three I picked because of their cute designs.

I'm currently in the process of re-choosing my Dreamies, because I have found so many cute ones that I just can't decide. You have some really cute ones, though <3 good luck finding them!

I choose the ones tht I like the designs of usually, and I try to have one of each personality. I also try not to have too many of the same species. I have Pietro, Chevre, Rudy, Olivia, Roscoe, Mira, Avery, Flora, and Benjamin so far. The last one I nedd is Lyman the koala. I'm not sure how much I really like flora though since im not a fan of peppy villagers but shes sorta growing on me. I got he picture a month afte and I on't even like her that much, but eh.

I couldn't decide, so I decided to adopt all of them :~) I choose who I do or don't want to keep as they move in through my town. My "dreamies" are

Lobo (he was my old bud in GC, and I accidentally rescued one to my NL town)
Beau (he's just adorable - I've been babysitting Akina's but I'll have to adopt my own one day)
Lucy (she's just so small and self-conscious, she was a rescue about to be voided and once I took her in, I loved her!)
Rudy (he's just really really adorable)
Walker (a villager I saved from my old corrupting town, sooo adorable too!)
Shep (he's my bud, one of my only move-ins I still have)
Ankha (I just haven't met a better for the Snooty personality than an ancient undead cat pharaoh)
Vesta (again, just adorable)
And I suppose a few more who I've loved for various reasons: Stinky, Felicity, Kyle, Julian, Daisy, and Flora!

But I expect this list to change. I'm only about 1/4 of the way to adopting one of all of them!

The villagers in my town are Julian, Marina, Puddles, Tammy, Genji, Papi, Mallary, Zucker, Gayle, Fang. Some of them are my sister's dreamies (mainly Fang, Genji, Zucker because they are cute) so I had to let them stay. I quite like Genji and Zucker though; I just love Genji's eyes and Zucker's watery eyes.

If I have to say who are my dreamies, I'd say: Julian, Marina, Puddles, Genji, Papi, Zucker, Gayle, Zell, Chester. I initially chose my dreamies based on how cute they look, like Marina. Julian and Papi became my dreamies after I started interacting with them; they are adorable <3 I honestly wasn't very impressed with Julian when I first saw him. It took me a long time to find a Peppy that is aesthetically appealing to me; it was only after Drift showed up at my cafe that I decided that I had to get a frog, hence Puddles. Love her though. If I can get more frogs I will. At this point my dreamie list sort of changed because I had since decided on a theme for my town. I kind of want my villagers to fit into that theme, and this is where Mallary and Tammy don't really fit in. I love them both though; one is yellow and one is purple, living on the two opposite ends of my town. I don't think I would just want to keep either Mallary or Tammy so I thought I would replace them both sometimes down the road. But until I am ready to move on, they are here to stay.

I also have 2 cat dreamies in my sister's other town :3 Kid Cat and Punchy <3 I really love cats and just can't for the sake figure out why my sister doesn't like them. My sister is still secretly hoping that if only Genji and Zucker can take the places of Kid Cat and Punchy.

I don't really have dream villagers, but I do like hamsters and dogs.The female kangaroos are so cute. I love that they hold a joey in their pocket.

whitney because i've loved her from the first day i saw her, pietro bc he's such a charmer, merengue bc strawberry shortcake is my favorite dessert and i love to cook, coco because she's creepycute, beau wasn't a dreamy at first but now i just love him, blanche because she's... idk, graceful, rolf and wolfgang because i have furry crushes on them lolololol, stitches and pudge bc they look so huggable, shari because she was my first uchi ever and we just click, muffy because she looks so cool, boone... he also looks cool yaknow, all 3 octopi because they're octopi, dotty bc her eyes glow red, vesta bc creepycute and also we share a bday, willow bc she was the first villager to ever give me a picture... i think that's it

Since I was only limited to 10 villagers (like everyone else) I had to choose very wisely who I wanted, even though I wish I could have had more! When it comes to choosing dreamies, I usually go for look more :3 I don't really care for different personality ones as I have multiples of each though at times, I really wish I could have different types lol The following below are the dreamies that currently reside in the town of "Reborn":

1) Marshal

Believe it or not, Marshal was always a dreamie I had in mind but never could get. When I actually restarted my town, I was lucky enough to have him move in the next day! (Which completely elated me and caught me off guard lol) I wanted Marshal simply because of his cute little look. He has a "Smug" type personality (Which I love) and I love his white fur since it is very much like a marshmallow.

2) Diana

I wanted Diana because to me, she was the cutest female of the deer types (Fauna was close, but Diana was so colorful!). I originally had Beau the first time in my town, but when I restarted, I wanted someone different of the Deer type. I love Diana's name (Since I named my Mayor Diana haha) and her colors where exceedingly beautiful! Her home is also very cool which is why I wanted her as well. She literally made me fall in love with "Stale Cupcakes".

3) Skye

I wanted Skye because I actually loved her colors! She had a cute design and I really loved her tuft of white fur atop her head that resembled the shape of clouds. I did originally have Whitney the first time in my old town, so for my new one, I decided to go with Skye instead.

4) Ankha

Ankha was always one of my favorites since ACCF. I had her in my town way back in the day, and I had just adored her! She was my favorite villager back then, so I decided I would try my best to get her this time for my new town in ACNL. I loved her Egyptian goddess look, along with her home. Her whole design stood out to be back then, and I was pretty impressed. I was always visiting her in ACCF and I knew that I would want her again simply for nostalgia's sake haha.

5) Julian

Out of all the horse villagers who currently reside in my town, Julian was in fact, the very first dreamie I had ever wanted when starting ACNL. When I had first saw his picture on the internet before the game came to NA, I already knew I was going to go for him! I loved his feminine looks, yet his masculine "Smug" personality. His colors were very pretty and him being a unicorn was pretty cool in my eyes. He had very nice shades of blue and his hair was nice lol I knew he was going to instantly become a fan favorite amongst the ACNL community back then.

6) Stitches

Believe it or not, Stitches was one of the dreamies I had since I first started my game the first time. My first town was "Alkandor" and he was a starter villager in that town. I remember liking him a lot and loved his multiple colors and his stitched "X" eyes, but sadly he moved one day without me knowing and I was pretty upset. When I restarted my game, I knew I would try my best to look for him again when I had the shot. I always loved his "Lazy" personality because I never really pictured him to be the type. I guess once more, I wanted him for nostalgia's sake haha

7) Roscoe

Roscoe is indeed, a fan favorite of mine and is one of my oldest but most fondest of childhood memories. I have had Roscoe since ACWW where our bond and my fondness for him had grown over the course of time. In the beginning, he would frighten my younger sister and I because of his strange red eyes that changed color, but over time, he had earned his keep as a loving villager in my town. i started to think he was pretty cool. Our bond and my fondness for him had grown even stronger in ACCF where I had him once again.


8) Colton

I guess you can tell I really like horse villager types lol I pretty much decided I wanted Colton around the same time I had wanted Julian. I saw Colton online, and I loved his beautiful white coat, blue eyes and blonde hair. I knew I wanted him the moment I saw him too so I pretty much went after him when the game came out. Plus once more, that "Smug" personality type lol

9) Lolly

As I am a pretty big horse fan, Cats are another animal that I thoroughly love since I own two myself Choosing Lolly was super hard as she, along with Kiki, Bob and Felicity, all came down to a tie. I had to think thoroughly of who I wanted, but in the end, went for Lolly, because she has a cute "kitten like" face. I also love her realistic Tabby look, so that was a plus for me too. She is so cute and I enjoy having her in my town.

10) Sprinkle

And last, but certainty not least. Sprinkle had caught my eye one day when I went over a friend's town who had her residing there. I had never seen a penguin look like her before, and her colors had just captivated me. I knew she was new to AC, and I wanted her immediate. I also love how she says "Frappe" as I truly love Frappes lol I also loved how she reminded me of a dessert like ice-cream and wanted her very much haha.

Vesta, Mitzi, Stitches, Amelia, Fang, Bangle, Antonio: Ive had them all in previous games, and I just love them all so much!
Marshal: I know everyone likes him, but for some reason he reminds me of Daryl from Walking Dead and thats my favorite character from the show.
Fuchsia: I had her as one of my first villagers in my previous town and at first I didnt like her, but she grew on me really fast and I love her so much.

I know for sure that I want Mint and Bunnie in my town because they were my favourites in Wild World. Not sure about the other 8 but eventually I'll figure it out I guess. I already have Felicity, Cherry and Poppy in my town and I intend to keep them so they might be more of my dreamies. c:

I have, like... a small pool of dreamies. There's no way I could narrow down over three hundred villagers to just ten. But the current residents of both my towns make up a significant portion of the dreamie-pool A lot of it has to do with design and species though, honestly.

Lolly - Wasn't sure I saw the appeal. Then she slooowly grew on me. Just got her yesterday and I'm already beyond attached.
Pekoe - She was one of my original starters in my very first New Leaf town, and I thought she was absolutely adorable.
Cole - Buck-toothed black bunny rabbit, awww. I was struggling to find a lazy villager I liked but he's so cute. Lawd.
Klaus - German metal bear. What's not to love? I'm so sad nobody else seems to adore this smug dork!
Marshal - I love squirrel villagers. I love pure white animals IRL. His dumb sulky face is super endearing, okay.
Felicity - Dat smile tho. Again, all about the cuteness (also, I love cats, so...)
Fuchsia - She's so over the top, I needed to have her. Neon punk deer? Hell yeah.
Deirdre - Another deer. I needed a new uchi after losing Pashmina and she was offered up to me. We're besties now.
Static - The cutest cranky I've possibly ever seen. He keeps asking to move. The only way he's leaving is in a body bag.
Pecan - She's the resident snooty, because Blaire's face was bothering me (lol) and I had her in another AC game before.

Pashmina - I had, and lost her, three friggin times over in Bastille. Finally I have her and am KEEPING her. Her outfit and horns are perf. Originally she was the only uchi I didn't find super ugly (but the others grew on me in time, haha)
Bluebear - Had her briefly in another AC game, and loved her. That's still the case. Cubs are so tiny... and the thing with berries. Best pun.
Flurry - She passed through my main town and her lack of a nose freaked me out a little so I let her leave when she pinged me. Then I started seeing her on my Main Street and realized that oh no, she's actually really adorable and I should have given her more time. Got her in my secondary now!
Filbert - Blue squirrel. Lazypants. What more needs to be said?
Lopez - Probably the only other smug villager in the game that I like, aside from the two in my main town. Pink eyelashes. Ridiculously great.
Carmen - My gap-toothed bb! I love her color scheme and we're gap sisters since I, too, have a little gap between my two front teeth which I'm very fond of. SOLIDARITY BRUH.
Mint - Snooty foodie squirrel with the most calming tone of voice(???) I've heard in this game, lmao - had to have her.
Yuka - Another snooty! She's piqued my interest since the beginning (meaning, since I looked through all the villagers and discovered there were KOALAS omg) and holds it.
Bam - Literally the only jock I can tolerate. He's a blue freckled reindeer-looking mofo I mean come on.
Hamphrey - The tiniest ball of gruff old man anger. I can't even take him seriously. He was SO HARD TO FIND THOUGH. ;o;

Dreamies that I don't currently have (or have room for):
Rosie, Kidd, Agent S, Caroline, Jeremiah, Peanut, Alice, Bruce -- all of them I've either had and miss dearly, or have bonded with in friends' towns. If anyone ever moves out of one of my towns, they'll be replaced with someone from this list, though I really hope that doesn't need to happen. Super stoked to get Sally though, when she's available in the cycle thread I'm stalking.

I'm just going to list off the dreamies I haven't acquired yet.

Blanche: I don't really know why, but I decided against having Whitney in my town. Blanche is easily my second favorite snooty. She's very pretty in an understated fashion. Her color scheme is really nice, the combination of white, black, and pink is lovely.

Bam: I think he's the best looking of all the jocks, most of them don't appeal to me at all. I think a good portion of jock villagers are well, ugly. Or just bland. His colors are great and he's pretty cute.

Timbra: Someone brought her up in a thread for unappreciated villagers. I grew to like her a lot after that. I think her colors are great, especially her greens. I decided I might as well have her in my town, at that point I had decided on nine other dreamies and was searching for a tenth. She'll match my other villagers well, I think.

Wolfgang: Quickly became my second favorite wolf after Whitney. I saw the exterior of his house and took interest in him, as I still hadn't decided on a cranky villager. A lot of the other cranky villagers just didn't seem to fit in with my other dreamies and I think he'll fit in my town nicely.

My dream villagers are Merengue, Freya, Cookie, Flora, Marshal, Diana, Fuchsia, Octavian, Cranston, and Marina. (●?∀｀●)

I'm planning on having my town theme be a sort of pink/white natural theme. I picked out villagers I liked that were either pink or white, while having at least one villager of each personality so all the public works projects can be unlocked. ; v ;

I pick my villagers that look like they have personality and fit different groups! Old,Smart.Hipster, ect just imagine those movies with all the different types of neighbors but they all still work! That's what i'm doing I also got 1 of each personality and none of the same animal species
Pekeo I think of her as me (My parents named me after a famous panda..) All the cute small details I just adore!
Soleil She is just fits the snooty personailty very well! And I can just picture her wobbling with her cute little legs with shopping bags
Walt Honestly I just wanted a old man in my town for variety I think every town needs that grumpy old man but has a kind heart! Also all his scars and bandages make his seem like a old boxer who is now retired
Rod Once again for variety! What town doesn't need a hipster gangster mouse I think Marshal goes with him great
Rosie She just has the kindest face! She also seems happy and ready to make people laugh
Frita No idea I just bonded with her and I will never stop loving her I guess she reminds me of that teenager that works at McDonalds
Doc I'm not sure he's just adorable to me! His glasses are everything and I think of him as my doctor of the town!
Marshal I think of like Rod my hipster wallabies! I just love his look he's trying to look tough but can't pull it off and ends up looking adorable!

I actually need 2 more 1 boy and 1 girl I want the boy as like the leader of the town and the older brother (Thinking about Frank or Lionial) The girl I want one of the bigger animal species and she will be like the mother of the town caring and loving everyone and looking out for them

I don't have a specific set that I want, but I usually pick them out based on their design. Some I really like are Victoria, Savannah, Lolly, Whitney, Julian, and Mira. I also tend to like the peppy personality because they seem really friendly and always have something adorable to say. Tied with that though is smug, because they always make me laugh. My Marshal is always doing that intro where he says there needs to be more dancing, and it makes me smile every single time. He is also more apt to say something that makes him slightly embarrassed, like he has a crush on the main character, which makes him even more endearing to me!
