Who are the Ugliest Villagers

Hottest take fresh out the oven, but I find Marshall repulsive and, dare I say it, ugly. Okay, part of it is the fact that smugs used to flirt with female human characters only, and when I move in a secondary character he came up to me all like: "I heard someone new moved into town. HoPE iTs A gIRL " Another reason would be Marshall Village (I don't like to talk about it)... but he's also just not a cute villager like everybody says. He looks like squirrel Justin Bieber wearing his 90s boyband denim vest, and his :< thing is mad unappealing too (one of the things I do dislike about Raymond, but at least he's got them fangs!) So... yuck. Don't like it.

lmao I've felt the same way about Marshal since NL. I've never liked him much, and I think it's super annoying how overhyped he is among the general AC fanbase. This might be going a bit too far, but imo he has the most punchable face out of any of the villagers. Speaking of the creepy flirting aspect, have you seen his Pocket Camp bio? Look at this:

"Never leave anything unsaid, because you never know if you'll see someone again" is his motto. But most girls wish he would leave a few things unsaid.

Even Nintendo says being creepy is his main character trait lol. There are so many better smug designs, but w/e let people enjoy things even if their opinion is bad. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I will disagree, though, and say that the grumpy face is cute on Raymond and it's also one of the reasons I like my boy Elvis so much.

It really puts a smile on my face when there are people who like even the ugliest of villagers. It makes them feel special because of the obvious nobody likes them.

As for the popular villagers, it just seems that the overabundance of them makes them not feel as important to me except for these popular tier 1 villagers as of August on Animal Crossing Portal:

Stitches
Judy
And of course, Raymond.

Thing is, I like these populars for a very good reason. Only taking these villagers for the popularity and ignoring the other villagers in the low tiers are for me, very frowned upon.

I got quite a ton of unpopular favorites, I even like Cashmere who is number 136 waaaayyy down at the bottom of tier 6. Yeah...

If there are any villagers I think look ugly, they definitely have to be Naomi and Curly. Naomi has no style and Curly's stupid face with that extremely long and wide mouth of his makes up for more of his ugliness.

I do think some villagers have strange designs like limberg
but I'm pretty sure the game devs do that on purpose to avoid having all villagers look cute and pretty

Not ugly exactly, but I find the wolves kind of underwhelming. I know people love them, but I just think they all have a sort of same bland prettiness that doesn’t grab me. I have Freya on my island now, and she’s a very nice snooty, I like her a lot, she’s got a nice aesthetically pleasing design...but she’s forgettable. She doesn’t make my heart explode with happiness, like tabby does (just found tabby while island hopping and still very excited.)

I also have discovered through dreaming that I really don’t like Diana. She looks like she accidentally got bleached, like she’s too faded out, and her features just don’t grab me. (Sorry to the person with the very charming picture of her as their icon!) Obviously this is not the common opinion, and I think just from the descriptions in this post you kind of start to get a picture of my own particular taste.

Luckily, Diana and the wolves have plenty of loving fans, so I can happily let them live their best lives on other islands.

I think the only villager that somewhat upsets me design wise is Harry the hippo.

His eyes are pretty proportionate to his head, I like his thick brows but that beard is..not good. It just reminds me of something else.

Honestly looking up close to him now, he looks kinda cute and lovable to me. He’s like that cool dad that likes to barbecue for school potlucks, supervise on field trips and, be really funny and goofy. Lol But I understand.

I agree, it's all subjective, and other people's opinion about the villagers you personally like and find cute should not affect your views and opinions on them, what's important is you like them and like them genuinely, not because they're popular and fits the standard of what most people think looks cute... But I do agree some villagers are in fact "ugly", but that's what make them look unique and different than those that are deemed "cute", like imagine if every single villager is "cute", I don't think that'll be a good idea...

i think some are cute and some are ugly but the ones i like least are the ones that are BORING. like, tabby, rodney, tiffany, clay and barold aren't beautiful but at least they're quirky and memorable and their designer clearly knew what they were going for, whereas lots of the designs for, say, the chicken and monkey villagers are just... dull. (imo)

Y’all there’s definitely ugly villagers, and that’s okay. They’re pixels. They’re don’t exist. If someone gets upset that I called their favorite villager ugly, then that’s on them. I’m not insulting people to their face or going into a villager appreciation thread.

Moose is the ugliest villager imo, but I really think Joey is super ugly too. Something about his beady eyes, thick eyebrows, and the fact that he wears a diaper…
