Right now, I'm stuck with Purrl and Sally REFUSING to leave. I had Purrl ping me once to move earlier in the week, but I had to tell her no as I was TTing around on a second character so my mayor could have the messy bed head hairstyle, and NEITHER of them will leave.

Which villager(s) were nearly impossible for you to move out, and when they finally did move out, what trick had you used to make them move?

Bettina moved in sometime last summer and plopped herself right in front of Re-tail. As soon as she was in I wanted her out. I played every day and her first and only ping was a little over a month ago. I thought she would never leave!!
When her house was finally gone I was standing in the spot wondering what do do with the area - because I had made all my plans for that space almost a year ago!

Sally just pinged me to move ;A; Christ I can move in Kyle or Beau, now I just need Purrl out.

Chrissy at one point. I ended up finding my mistake when I was doing my method.
Usually I talk to a villager on the first day the move in 3 times then stop for 1 week & 1 day, then talk to 'em again. Then they pin usually 5 days after I last talk to them, unless there's an event/another villager asks to move.

He hasn't moved out yet, so I can't be of any help, but Benedict has been in Amestris since July. He has not pinged once. I finally got the hint that maybe I should have another villager move out first before he will ask to move, but in that case, he still hasn't budged for four months. My goodness.

Pate. She moved in obnoxiously and she just refused to leave. I barely talk to him as well and when I was TTing like crazy to cycle my villagers out, she also just didn't leave. Dx

I had Rodney from mid July up until the end of March. Every time he pinged to move, he'd decide to stay. He was the worst.
Roald also currently won't move.

Agnes, Freckles and Ed refused to move, starting shortly after I started the town in June, all the way up to Christmas. orz Turns out abusing/ignoring them wasn't as effective as being super best buddies with them. So, I learned my lesson.

Rocket and most recently, Charlise. In a recent reset, she was one of my starters. *one month later* and she still has yet to ping me to move.

I'm really hoping that Purrl will ping me soon, she makes it impossible for me to move in.

Well, I'm trying to move Snake out now. It's almost Halloween in my town from all the time-travelling I've done, and every other villager has pinged to move at least twice now, some over a dozen times. I spent nine hours straight yesterday trying to get him out and four hours straight today. I never want to see his little pink bunny ears again!

Without a doubt, MATHILDA. She was always saying she would move and when I said ok she'd reply "not so easy!" and stay.

I remember the most difficult for me was chadder. I wanted him to move out for SO long. Once he even pinged me to leave, i said yes, and he said some crap like "Wow, that must mean our friendship isn't good, i'm going to stay so we can improve our friendship" I GOT SO ANGRY but eventually he did move out and he's no longer in my town haha

Deli and Ozzie were my two stubborn villagers that would not move. I know exactly why, too. It's because I became some level of friends with them and it took a long time for that value to decrease. Overtime, with no talking WHATSOEVER they finally decided I wasn't worth the effort and they moved. XD

Thanks to a cool walkthrough guide explaining the friendship levels, I know to simply walk in when they move in and introduce myself and then completely ignore them. Certain holidays are tricky with this though... Mira and Elsie are two ladies I wanted out of my village and April Fool's Day forced me to interact with both. Mira moved faster because the day after I assaulted her with my butterfly net because of something dumb and abusive she did to either me or another villager... no, wait I remember! She planted a flower in a spot I had just created for a specific reason.

Anyway, villagers are hard to recycle and I had a tough time with three of those four; Mira is still in my village for anyone who wants her.

Bones was such a pain! Even when I did finally get him to ping he took it back and said he would stay for a bit longer ;-;

For anyone who's having an issue with villagers taking back their decision to move once they ping, all you have to do is quit the game without saving and then talk to them again until you reach a conversation where they stick with their decision to leave if you tell them to.
