Which villager is the most unfriendly/annoying in your town?

The rudest thing my villagers do is sometimes the grumpy guys say how they're surprised that I'm still surviving.
What does that even mean?

Are they surprised that I'm still alive because I'm a weak, frail human? Or because I am a particularly pathetic one?
Or are they surprised that I'm still surviving as mayor and haven't called it quits yet because I'm terrible at being in charge?!
