Which version of the Harvest series furniture do you prefer?

i think the new leaf furniture was mostly unusable, this looks much better in terms of usability

I think I prefer the new look.

However! We have a severe lack of colorful sets in NH so I almost wish they had kept the purple motif. The fact we have so many warm wooden sets already takes some points off of the new Harvest stuff for me. For me the ideal solution would have been to have the NH set but with purple accents or entirely using the color scheme from NL. I know the browns, yellows and oranges are much more Autumnal, but at least a splash of purple would have made it so much more unique.

I also used the old harvest wall and flooring quite a bit in HHD. I just like the fake curtain style of wall.​

as a lover of all things purple, i must say i am sad to see the old games' Harvest Series die out. the furniture was objectively quite hmm, not pretty and didn't rly fit with the event at all (in my opinion), but i still want it because especially in New Horizons, there actually aren't all that many purple furniture items that have a very attractive purple like the purple the Harvest Set used. however, from what little we've seen of the new Harvest Series, New Horizons' set is very modern and pretty. these are furniture pieces you'd see and possibly use in real life, which is the feeling a lot of the new furniture they've made has. the graphics also most definitely look good with the way the furniture looks. though i like the old games' Harvest Series, can you imagine how gaudy they'd look in these updated graphics? also, considering the other furniture we have gotten, it would most definitely stick out a lot more bc like i've said, most of the items we have look like something you'd find in real life in a furniture store (no i am not looking at the Egg Series i do not perceive it).

it's always kind of sad to see game series change their formula and as a result, get rid of beloved old features. i mean the Harvest Series may not have been beloved, but we have gotten a lot of new things with New Horizons, such as a new turnip npc, new Fishing Tourney and Bug-Off npcs, and many of the furniture sets we've grown up with have yet to be added to this game or were seemingly scrapped. i think the game's name of "New Horizons" is really fitting in this aspect, though; i think this game is a step in the right direction for the series and the developers are probably finally able to do more new and exciting things rather than sticking with the old formula. but i also fear for their lives if they don't add back froggy chair.

Easily the NH version... is that even a question? Haha. I was always put off by the Harvest series in NL— it never gave me those Thanksgiving vibes. As a child, I was really weirded out by it, actually... no clue why. The new set is very homey, and the warm colors give me more of a fall vibe than the pink and purple of previous games.

Honestly, I kind of prefer the old Harvest Series due to the purple and pink color scheme. Sure, the New Horizons series (if we're correct in our assumptions) fits the idea more and is more easily identifiable at a glance with the holiday, but it's also comparatively extremely plain and bland. That's both good and bad because, as others have said the items in this new series can be more versatile, but I nonetheless find the look boring for the most part.

I will say, though, that I really love that table/fireplace/whatever that is situated behind the girl in the screenshot, with the balloons and the leaf garland and all that.

Yup, definitely NH version is better, purple doesn't seems like a thanksgiving color, while the new set uses traditional thanksgiving colors(White,Red,Orange,Yellow,Brown)

I was just saying on another thread a few days ago that I would love a classic dining table set since the ironwood set is great but just doesn't feel very cozy to me, and the table set shown in the picture with the new turkey day table setting looks perfect! I don't even mind if it isn't customizable cause I love the colors and am going to throw it in an empty-ish corner of my living room to fill it up.

Anything New Horizons just looks so much better! I recently went back into New Leaf as I was farming balloons in NH, and gosh, the increase in graphics with ACNH is just mind blowing. It's such a beautiful game.

I absolutely love the new harvest furniture. It is much more practical and appropriate looking. Definitely usable year-round. Pink/purple didn't really give me a harvest vibe in ACNL.

the old harvest furniture had such a weird color scheme to it that was not at all autumn/harvest themed lol. Although some pieces could potentially look good in a pink themed room, I prefer the new harvest series from the ACNH trailer wayyyyyy more hahaha

I like the new set a lot better, it's more flexible with decorating. I don't know why it used to be pink and purple but when I think of harvests I think of earthier tones.

I miss some of the flashier furniture sets, though. Even when I didn't use them they still added character to the game.

Definitely the new one. The old one is nostalgic and quirky but not very realistic. I used to have it in one of my rooms in New Leaf only because I did a seasonal themed house.

I'll definitely be using some of the new set to make a kitchen for one of my characters.

I used to love the harvest series when I was younger and playing the gamecube version, but afterwards I noticed that the stands of some of the pieces were bird feet... There's something kinda creepy about that, especially in a game like AC.

Definitely loving the new pieces. I hope there's even more furniture than what was shown in just the trailer.

I never played NL so I haven't seen/used the old harvest furniture, looking through this thread I definitely prefer the NH stuff!! it goes a lot more with the harvest theme I feel (who associates purple with autumn??)

Gotta go with NH for sure. It has that cozy, natural look to them that is really pleasing to look at. And because of the colors I feel that it will go good together with most other sets such as wooden/cabin/maple.

I'll be using this set for my autumn-themed room.

The new one is stuff that I would actually use. The classic look has always been pretty ugly IMO.

Like...nothing about pink and purple begins to reflect autumn to me.

This did make me realize why they changed the holiday name from Harvest day to Turkey day, it's because harvest suggests autumn, which isn't true for southern hemisphere folk, who are in spring.
