I'm planning to get myself another game before the year ends after getting Alpha Sapphire. Which one should I get?
Fire Emblem Awakening or Ocarina of Time?

I have wanted to get Fire Emblem for quite some time since I played the demo, but still don't have it at the moment.

After watching a bunch of Youtube videos on it, I really want to try Majora's Mask when it releases next year, but Ocarina of Time is the prequel to that. I want to be able to grab the pre-order bonus for Majora when it comes out.

Fire Emblem Awakening is the best game ever. OoT should never have more votes than it.

I would like to counter this and tell you that Ocarina of Time is one of the most beautiful and amazing games I have played. Especially on 3DS. It's easy for a new Zelda gamer to get into and if you want a game you will be playing for a while, this is it.

It's been called one of the best games ever created. See for yourself :)

Awakening has tons of replay value while Ocarina of Time simply has none. Awakening has a lot to do with strategy, but if you choose the normal casual mode you don't have to worry about that, of course there's always lunatic if you want a challenge. There's also DLC you can buy separately that is pretty cool.

I've played Ocarina of Time a couple times and it's good but if I had to choose I would have to say Fire Emblem.

Ocarina received the most votes in a recent "Best game created" poll

It triumphed over EVERY other game made.

You can 100% OoT in maybe 20 hours.
I still wasn't done with Awakening after 200 hours, and that's just 1 file. You can change the difficulty on Awakening to be easy for beginners to Lunatic+ (shudders).

I like playing as Link. FROM WIND WAKER.

Have you played a LoZ game before? They're both very different games so depends what sort of games you prefer.

I perspnally LOVE Fire Emblem, and would choose it over Zelda, Pokemon, anything any day of the week. I love the strategy part of it. It has a very diverse story mode and rounded characters. You can raised 2 units' support levell your (or if they are eligible, marry) by pairing them with each other in battles which helps you see more of the character's personalities and leads to some suprises later in the game. I also love RPGs, sooo. Also, the creativity in the game is simply amazing. You get to customize your avatar's physical features and hair color, and choose what class/skill to make/give your units. Overall, it is a great game.

I love Zelda, so obviously I picked that. Fun, lighthearted but surprisingly mature, and a little magical: Zelda in a nutshell.

A lot of people say OoT is the best game ever made (but I'm seeing a lot of awesome support for Majora's Mask lately, so you'll be getting two of the most beloved in the series there). It's pretty good, mostly it's a classic of the Zelda series and worth taking a look.

But hey, depends on whether you might feel more strongly for strategy/RPG (is FE an RPG? Can't remember) or adventure/puzzle.

It really depends on what type of games you like. I would recommend getting both if you can. Majora's Mask doesn't come out until Spring though, so you have plenty of time to play OoT before. Since you've been waiting for Fire Emblem Awakening for the longest time, I would recommend buying that first if you had to choose logically.

Fire Emblem: Awakening. Dragons.
OoT is great, but I'd reccomend Fire Emblem more. Anyway, you'd have to deal with the Water Temple, even if it is only one temple... Fire Emblem only has 20 or so chapters, but side story gives you another 20+ (I think) and also DLC maps. Like the Future Past, that was amazing. OoT is great, but I'd vote for Fire Emblem.

yeah you're a complete ****** and i hope you die in a fire

Go with Fire Emblem. So much replayability. OoT is admittedly a great game but there are quite a few other games so similar to it. Not to mention OoT can be played easily on an N64 emulator and really doesn't have that much replayability. Honestly FE:A will suck you in and you will not regret it.

fire emblem is a lot of fun the first time & every time you replay it again.
i've not touched ocarina of time since i 100%'d

I would go for Fire Emblem, except if you never ever played Ocarina Of Time on any console.
Because quite frankly, Ocarina Of Time is a masterpiece.

But so is Fire Emblem: Awakening......

Fire Emblem Awakening will undoubtedly last you longer than Ocarina of Time thanks to the vast amount of replayability, plus if you ever decide to you can purchase DLC for it extending playtime with it.

Get Fire Emblem: Awakening first, then Ocarina of Time + Majora's Mask.

As some people have said here, FE:A has a high replay value that could keep you busy for some time, so you can get and play FE:A while you save up to buy OoT. Who knows, they have a deal for OoT once it's close to MM's release date. From your posts, it seems you're more interested in FE:A. If you want the preorder bonus for MM, you could always get MM and not play it until you get OoT.
