I'm going to have to admit... Super Paper Mario was my favourite. I enjoyed the twist in its gameplay- it was pretty enjoyable.

Thousand Year Door of course.
It's also my favorite game of all time.

Really enjoyed N64 version and SPM as well though.
:-)

Its a tie between Paper Mario 64 and The Thousand Year Door.

The 1st one I like for its nostalgia, the 2nd is for its story line. I hope they don't f*** up the next one. *Cough Sticker Star cough*

It's really hard to say, I really enjoyed all of them. I voted for TTYD but Super Paper Mario had a really good story line as well. The N64 one was still great too :)

I haven't played the Wii or 3DS titles yet, but between the first three (including Super Mario RPG, which was clearly its inspiration and origin)

It's the N64 one for me.

There's just so much more charm and nostalgia; the characters and locations were more memorable, the boss fights were more exciting. The crowd thing in TTYD was cute, I guess, but it didn't add enough that I'd care about it being implemented or not.
I finally got the N64 one for my Wii U a couple days ago, I haven't played it since I was 10 but I've still remembered everything about it thus far. I've put in like 15 hours just doing the first 2 chapters, just because I wanted to sight-see and talk to everyone, lol. Super excited to go get Lady Bow next. :3

I last played TTYD when I was, maybe, 15 or 16? But I just don't remember it as well, nor really care to.

Super Paper Mario and Sticker Star are both still on my 'wishlist', though.

I really like the one for Wii, Super Paper Mario. I found the gameplay to be rather unique and enjoyable. The others on the N64 and GameCube were good too, but I've never been good at turn based games or timing.

N64 Paper Mario, no question. I have lots of childhood memories with that game, and at the time, the art style was unlike anything else on the market.

I agree with this 10000%. The original Paper Mario for N64 was really great, but the gamecube version improved upon a bunch of things that were already good.

imo they should have stuck to the ttyd and 64 style of the game and just built up from that

ttyd is my favourite although im only on chapter 7, but i also enjoyed playing 64

I've only played the Wii & 3DS versions, but I really enjoyed Super Paper Mario! I'd love to go back and play the other ones as well someday.

Sticker Star is sitting in my drawer, gathering dust. I can't even get through the second level.

I loved TTYD. It's perhaps my favourite game of all time because the storyline was amazing and the worlds were really well done in my opinion. The original Paper Mario is a close second for the same reasons, though I felt TTYD refined the series. Super Paper Mario was a let down for me. The game was fun but not memorable. I didn't like how you could change the world to be completely flat and 3D. It preferred being able to move in 3D without constraint. I also didn't really like how they removed partners and put in place those sprite things xD. None of them really had any memorable personalities. I also really hated how they reused bosses @_@.

I haven't played Paper Mario Sticker Star, but I'm somewhat afraid to since there are a lot of people who think its an even worse game xD. I just hope that the next Paper Mario game goes back to its roots and puts more emphasis on the story line and the characters while maintaining detailed worlds and fun objectives.

It's a tie between Super and Thousand-Year Door, but I'll go wiht Super to give it some more votes and help it catch up. It won't.

u would probably really like the first 2 then

TTYD was really wonderful, my first paper game recommended to me by a friend, and it was a really enjoyable experience, I felt that this one had the best gameplay of all four. However I did find myself more emotionally invested in Super Paper Mario, the story was a lot deeper and had many elements to it that pushed the envelope of the usual Mario formula. The characters are all very interesting and complex, and the weight of the adventure is a lot heavier. I admit it has its flaws, but I feel that its content makes up for the gameplay and combat aspects that didn't work.
