Which NPC visitors are mutually exclusive?

I'm pretty sure Wisp can show up on days when you have another visitor like Kicks or Lief. And I think it's obvious that the ones who set up stands in the plaza can only appear one at a time, so you wouldn't get Kicks and Lief at the same time. But what about visitors like Gulliver and Saharah? Can they show up on a day when, say, Redd's boat is there? Can they both show up on the same day?

Just want to know so that, if I see someone setting up shop in the plaza, or if I find Gulliver, if there's any point in looking for someone else like CJ or Flick.

Anyone not had anyone? I had Daisy Mae this morning, but no one else is on my island and I’ve covered every square foot of it multiple times, so they aren’t hiding. I’ve never not had someone visiting in addition to Daisy Mae before...

I've had 3 NPCs on my island at once before, it was Celeste, Flick and one other I don't remember since it was way back in March. I've heard people have up to 4 NPCs at once :O

I wonder if the only mutually exclusive ones are the ones that set up a stand in the plaza, because they share the same space. The ones who just walk around might all have a chance of appearing at the same time, and now Redd has his boat in a separate place, too.

It does seem that the ones who only appear at night can show up no matter who else is on the island that day, namely Celeste and Wisp. Which is good to know.

I think only Gulliver, Celeste, and Wisp can appear in addition to another NPC. Aka, if Flick is there, you might also see one of those 3, but you'd never see Flick and CJ at the same time, or Flick and Lief.

Don't quote me on that, though. I have no actual proof, just personal experience and what others have said

You probably can't have Flick and CJ at the same time though.

According to Ninji, a well-known data miner, new information has been discovered relating to when certain merchants will visit the island! Apparently, Saharah, Kicks and Leif are guaranteed to appear sometime during the weekdays (Monday - Friday), while the last two slots will be taken by two...

I had only have Daisy Mae on Sunday morning and then no other NPC before! It can happen.

wisp, celeste, daisy mae--can all appear even when you have a visiting NPC as they appear on certain hours

sahara, leif, redd, kicks, label, gulliver, flick, C.J.--can't be on your island at the same time.

3 is definitely possible. even 4 on a sunday. celeste, wisp, and one of the traveling merchant/visitors.

i once had sahara, celeste, and leif all on the same day so lap over is a probability for sure!
