3DS xl. I also like the stylus placement its the perfect spot and ideal location. And the sd card spot is nice too. Bought in the last few years.
I used to own a DS lite not too long ago that was a gift from my neighborhood friend. I didnt cherish it like I would normally cause it had a messed up hinge that stayed in fully open position and wiggled. I couldve fixed it with my knowledge now, it is gone now : ( I liked it and was glad I had it tho. I kept that for like 10 years or something.
I have a DS Lite, a DS, a 2DS, a 2DS XL, a 3DS (my main console), and a 3DS XL. I haven't played most of them for a while, but I have them anyway. I use the 3DS most of the time because it's a handy and small size to carry.
Easier to show an old picture but here's what i have
White ds lite was lucky because i got him for parts but ended not needing too. So I just cleaned it up and removed a stripped screw it came with when i got it. And i gave it the sliver ds lite dpad for flair. I only had the purple 2ds xl and black 3ds xl for a long time till beginning of 2024 my collection turned to this. It was worth it! I will still get more later on.
I have a DS Lite, a DSi, a (broken) 3DS XL, and a New 3DS XL! The new 3DS XL is the one that actually sees any real use though (and rarely... I have been meaning to pick it up again but idk where it is ngl).
I have a DS Lite, DSi, an original 3DS, a Year of Luigi 3DS XL, and a New 3DS XL. The only ones I don’t play on occasion are the original 3DS and DSi because both have one shoulder button no longer functioning. The DS Lite I use to play GBA games plus Guitar Hero and Band Hero and to use the dual slot functionality in the Gen IV Pokémon games. The 3DS XL I use to play the VC version of a couple of Pokémon games to trade with the games on my New 3DS XL and other multiplayer activities and trading.
My oldest is a DS lite that I still use to play DS games because it’s peak. When I was little I bought a 2DS that I sold like 5 years later for 40 dollars for some ungodly reason! The only reason I sold it though, is because I had just gotten a 2DS XL. Like a year and a half ago I got a New 3DS because the faceplates are cool and the 2DS XL is not that great looking back.
I personally own a fully black regular-size DSi and a white New 3DS LL, but in retrospect I could've probably gone for a more interesting colour for the DSi (a bit hesitant to pick other colours for the New LL because of reports of paint peeling on basically all colours but white). I definitely want to decorate them both somehow, and I've already made something of a basic Omori custom design on a clear case for my New 3DS, but I'm thinking of making custom stickers at some point. Thankfully, they both work fully, so I can play any DS-compatible game on either console (I prefer the DSi for this particular use case).
I have a Nintendo 3 DS XL but I've only used it to play AC New Leaf. I like the XL but I have to admit I didn't enjoy New Leaf very much. The beautiful graphics of New Horizons ruined my ability to appreciate the older games.
