Which look is closest to what you want for Switch?

So, out of all the graphical representations Animal Crossing has had outside of the main series, which do you think did it the best and is closest to what you would like the Switch game to look like? Here are some pictures for quick reference if you're unfamiliar. I think these are the main ones.

It seems the most likely to me that the reveal trailer is indicative of the game's style, but since it went out of its way to tell us it wasn't in-game footage there's always the chance it was made just for this early reveal, so it's still worth discussing.

The reveal trailer will most likely be the real look for the game but I LOVE the Mario kart one! It's perfect!

Mario Kart 8 would definitely be the optimal version but the reveal trailer for AC Switch + Isabelle's smash trailer is probably what we are getting.

Amiibo Festival's graphics would be pretty great too.

I hate to complain about something we've only seen one scene of and don't even know if it's the final style but for some reason the reveal trailer's style reminds me a lot of the comparisons made between The Sims 4 and 3. Everything looks very... blank? I LOVE the character models being as simple and clean as they are, but all the furniture in Nook's office has like... no texture. The lighting looks lovely though. I kinda hope we get the lighting and characters from the trailer and the set was just a mockup made quickly.

I thought about adding New Leaf as an option but I'm only really talking about the non main series looks at the moment as I don't think the exact look from New Leaf will be replicated for the Switch installment. However I understand where you're coming from - the graphical quality of NL may not be perfect but the style with all the fuzziness is really lovely and I prefer more texture to less.

Smash Ultimate I can’t see the image but it’s highly unlikely

Pocket Camp looks too cartoony

I don’t think the reveal trailer is likely either

The make believe has nothing to do with anything

I’d say they can use New Leaf’s graphics, but make it posh and clean but not like Pocket Camp’s graphics so it can fit on the Switch

Even if the first two games are no longer relevant and the make believe is not made by Nintendo, you can still like the look they are going for. This isn't about likelihood, but the style you would prefer in an ideal world.

I actually really like pocket camp’s graphic quality. I’m a fan of that soft cell shading type look. Although i’d also be ok if it’s something similar to the Mario kart’s refined graphics. As long as it’s not exactly like the trailer. I think that’s too smooth yet flat? Like not rendered enough. Either way, whatever they give us I’m sure i’ll get used to it real quick.

Well, if we are doing an ideal world, then I would love the look of Mario Kart 8 with the textures of Bit Block.

The Mario Kart 8 version looks good, looks like it might need some sizing adjustments though.
I imagine that the game will just look like Pocket Camp, maybe slightly better, but I doubt it.

some middle ground between mk8 and amiibo festival, maybe? I love how everything's so big but the grass without the shapes feels a little off lol

not sure about look, but I really hope it's like MK8 with a full rotational camera at all times

since the essentially fixed camera angle outside along with everything having a preset orientation is one of the things that really bugs me about the games, and dropping it I feel could open up a wide array of landscaping and general game design possibilities

not to mention, just imagine being able to do stuff like pan the camera around to find a villager, as opposed to having to walk up to their general vicinity first

I would love some new style of graphics. I liked the New Leaf one but I would prefer something different. I LOVE the make believe series of Josh from the BitBlock.

It's hard to decide which one to choose but I went for Smash Ultimate. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's version is a good idea but I don't think they would put in that much detail into AC switch. Ultimate's version looks ideal but hey, we won't know what the game would be like 'till it's revealed.

I don't know much about what's capable of being displayed on the Switch so take this with not just a grain, but a heaping helping of salt. I feel like the reveal trailer looks too good? I don't feel like it will be that one. The grass and trees in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe look too realistic for what we'll get, but I feel like we'll get those sorts of buildings. Smash Bros. Ultimate, Pocket Camp and AC Plaza are also possible. amiibo Festival looks a bit too similar to New Leaf, so I don't feel that they'd stick so close.

There actually are shapes in the grass in MK8! I didn't think there were at first either but it's just less obvious.

I like the MK8 textures but the grass pains me. PC is not surprisingly the most 'on model' style so I voted for that.
