Which game has the best music? (title, hourly themes, events, places, etc.)

Personally, I think that Population Growing (GameCube) has the best soundtrack, though all of them are amazing!
PG has that main title screen that is hidden in the beautifully composed hourly themes. The events are so special, unique and nostalgic. . you can never rebuild that feeling that PG gave you.

Wild World was my first game, so the soundtrack is super nostalgic. It's also more melodic and cohesive than PG, but PG is still my favorite somehow? It's just really simple and fun. I feel like it fits the idea of an Animal Forest better than the other titles. I think it had more drum beats and a large variety of instruments?
The 2am track is hilarious too.

My personal favourite is wild world, as it was my first animal crossing game I owned. The music is so nostalgic and I have so many fond memories whilst listening to the soundtrack <3

I’m currently playing City Folk, with my eyes dilated. If I ever find my Wild World game card again, I’ll tell you. But I agree it has very good music! All the Animal Crossing soundtracks are amazing!

i really love the city folk soundtrack, although im probably biased as it is my fave. I also really love the hhd music, as well as amiibo festival (im a sucker for the spin off games)

New Leaf > GameCube > City Folk and Wild World

Just how I prefer it. New Leaf sort of has this melancholy vibe that I like. GameCube is then quirky, but very interesting. City Folk and Wild World is a bit of both worlds combined. All lovely tracks of course, but I have played those the least. My favorite is definitely the city theme!

I would say Wild World > Gamecube > New Leaf.

I might be biased since Wild World was my first game, but all of music is just so beautiful, homey and nostalgic. Those accordion sounds just can't be beat, they make my heart ache :') The theme song makes me tear up and I love the majority of the hourly music and event music (the New Year's Day song is just !!!! <3)

New Leaf has a couple nice tracks but is too minimal in my opinion. I don't find most of the hourly themes very interesting.

I would vote for City Folk having my favorite soundtrack. City Folk carries a lot of nostalgia for me. It has such peaceful music, and it maintains the whole Animal Crossing vibe.

Wild World/City Folk > GameCube > New Leaf

I always adore the Wild World/City Folk soundtrack, mainly the game's main theme, which is my all-time favorite here. Second favorite would be the soundtrack from the GC title, which also has some nice songs such as the Cat song/1 PM theme for example. New Leaf's music is overall not bad, but sometimes a bit stale in my taste.

ACWW/CF! Love the WW opening theme and the hourly music. Something about it gives me such a calm and happy feeling.

Wild World was my first game and then I played City Folk right after, so I like those a lot. New Leaf was OK, but I only really liked a couple of songs from it, such as the 10pm music. I can still remember the title screen song from City Folk and it's sooo fun to listen to. So probably Wild World and City Folk are my favorites. Can't wait to hear the music for New Horizons in a couple months.

Wild world definitely, it's the most melancholic and charming imo. NL is objectively better produced but not as memorable and relaxing as WW imo.

WWs simplicity is what makes it so glorious. You'll always remember those exact tunes.

Haven't played any of the home console games though so it's harder to judge the other games' soundtracks.

since acnl was my first animal crossing game, i'd have to say i think that game has the best music. hearing the first few seconds of a song immediately triggers my memory lol the songs sound really upbeat too. 10/10 good music
