Which!?

I use the PDP Fight Pad. Basically the Classic Controller Pro that looks like a GCN controller.

Gamecube Controller. I tried playing with the Gamepad, but it was just not worth it. I ended up not touching the game for a couple months until I got the Gamecube Adapter from eBay. I didn't trust third party ones either so I ended up buying an official one from Japan.

Cube Controller always and forever

3DS too, but only when I'm forced to use it (ie: when I'm playing the 3DS version), so I'm not counting it

Can you add the Hori Battle Pad? I use that one lol. Its basically a better version of the PDP and it actually looks like a GameCube controller :3

You have Classic Controller Pro and not the Pro controller? Wow...

got the pro controller on deck
next paycheck i'm picking up a gc adapter though

I recently got the Pikachu edition from Amazon. It's adorable. :3

GC Controller for Wii U and obviously 3DS for the 3DS version.

Gotta buy 3rd Party stuff tho, rip me

Ahhh I absolutely need that! I couldn't wait 3 months for it, though so I have Luigi ;_;

Last time I checked it was like $35 o_o...I will definitely be buying Pikachu once it goes down a bit c:

I used to play with the Gamepad, but ever since I got the GC adapter about 10 days ago I have just used the GC controller. I won't be using the Gamepad for Smash bros again so I don't have to worry about breaking my Gamepad again and losing everything I had saved on Wii U.

I'll be mostly playing with a GamePad, because my Wii U Pro Controller went kaput and I'm not even bothering to buy any other controller for quite some time. Problem is, I hate that the bezels surrounding both Control Sticks are round rather than octagonal, which often leads me to pull out a wrong move that could possibly cost me a stock. And the weight make it feels a bit unwieldy but that's tolerable for me. Aside of those issues, it's a fairly solid controller.

I also occasionally use Wii Remote + Classic Controller for Smash, which is a technically better controller for me in long term. Button placement is for the most part logical and feels fairly comfortable to use. However, the ABXY buttons are kinda spread out a bit too further and it has to use AA batteries because Wii Remote needs it.

I had planned on using the Gamecube controller but I couldn't get an adapter for it right away. And by the time I got smash for Wii U I was so used to the 3DS controls that I either use that or a gamepad.

(I have a custom control setting so that Y is grab and ZR is roll/shield, though. It's really comfortable imo)

Gamepad since finding a gamecube adapter was impossible at the time.
Now I'm use to the gamepad so it's whatever.

The original Classic Controller is a very good layout for Smash! I can't imagine trying to use the GCN controller to play Smash 4 anymore (partially due to availability of GCN controllers as well).
