Where were you when you first played AC:NL (your town)?

So my parents have always been against girls playing video games. I had a 3ds for years, but I just never used it since I only had one game.

I saw a Let's Play of ACNL, and one of my online friends also got the game. Around a week after the release, I decided I couldn't take it anymore. I walked to Safeway, bought $40 in eShop Giftcards, and downloaded the game. Needless to say, my parents were really pissed off when they got home.

My guess is that her parents want her to steer away from anything that can affect her being a girly girl in a way? If it's just "girls playing video games." Or maybe they're just old fashioned?
