Where to get Streetpass tags?

Everywhere and anywhere. Take your 3DS with you wherever you go and you might just be surprised!

• I've been able to get street passes without even leaving my room (both on-campus and at my parents house) just because someone else will have turned their 3DS on or walked by.
• I get streetpasses whenever I go to uni. Two I'm guaranteed to get (the two friends I usually sit with in class also bring theirs everywhere they go) but sometimes I get more.
• Any busy area! I tend to get some when I go shopping - even if the only place I've gone to is the supermarket! Also, if you're going to be walking past a high school or college campus at a busy time of day they tend to be good areas to pick some up.
• My goldmines are Nintendo zones at a supermarket near my parents house, and then a major train station I go through frequently. I picked up nine at the latter today, then got a tenth sometime between then and getting home from uni.

McDonald's seems to be the best place for me so far. I've never had the opportunity to visit a game convention, so any local Nintendo Zone works.

Yeah I'd say crowded malls, game/Japan conventions or events, on the train etc.

The streetpasses for Animal Crossing go down every week .. I find the only place I get them are Nintendo Hot zones. The problem is that the hot zone list is no longer accurate. None of the Mcdonalds work anymore and the neither do the stores they have listed for the mall.Best Buy also does not work anymore. I have found only Home Depot and Barnes and Nobles bookstore to still be working.The Nintendo National Streetpass Weekends are a great time to take your ds out. It's really the only time I have been getting them lately. Good luck!

If I bring my 2DS on campus in sleep mode, by the end of the day, after all of my classes and work, I'll usually have at least 5 Streetpasses. Normally I get more though, 8-10 on average.

It's kind of interesting to try to guess who in your classes are Streetpassing you. It's like a mystery. I deduce which class my Streetpasses come from, and furtively search the room for anyone that looks like the Streetpass Mii.

Yeah, it's a bit creepy.

I'd say school? I haven't actually brought mine to school, but I've seen a lot of people bring theirs. I get most of my Passes at Target and in the surrounding stores (Home Depot, Raleys, etc.) I've gotten 1 or 2 from Gamestop, and I also get a lot from my sister, since even if I just close my DS while she's playing, I get her streetpass (I've passed her like 9 times). I'm also going to a con soon, so perhaps I'll try that and see how well it works ^^
