Where have the scallops gone?

I haven’t been able to find scallops yesterday or today. Probably just bad RNG, but I’ve caught a lot of sea critters without seeing a scallop.

Secondary question: if you have a second character on your island, can they find scallops?

Sometimes it takes me a while to find scallops while other times I find them instantly, it really does all come down to luck. And yes your second character can also find scallops and encounter Pascal once per day.

Sometimes I've gone a whole day without finding a scallop, it's annoying when you're trying to acquire pearls or DIYs!

i spent a really good portion of my play time yesterday looking for a scallop; i filled my inventory and finally managed to find one. sad part? it didn't trigger because i didn't automatically put it in my inventory and pascal never showed up :c

they're still around, just sometimes hard to grab. i'm not too sure about the secondary character, however, as i only have the one profile.

When the summer update dropped it always took me ages to find the scallop so it took me ages to get the DIYs. I ended up buying the ones I was missing because it took too long. But recently the scallop is always the first thing I find when I dive (which is not often).

Recently, when looking for a Sea Pig, I would go without finding a scallop the whole 1-3 hours of searching. RNG can get really bad at times for sure.

It took me an hour once before I found one scallop. It is definitely bad RNG and it really shows when trying to get fall diys from balloons in fall.

I have had that happen, too!

Guess I’ll try my luck with the RNG again. Only one more mermaid recipe to find.

Last time I went diving I found a ton of scallops. I think it was 7 or 8 of them.

Sometimes I find them right away and other times it takes me about five to fifteen minutes at the most to find one. I'm actually glad it's a once a day thing, cause when you can't find them it gets really annoying.

Sometimes it takes me as little as ten minutes, and other times it's a good half hour to forty-five minutes. I've never gone hours without finding one if I'm looking though.
