i’m not sure how or where to buy amiibo cards, i could use some guidance and explanation! thank you

you can buy packs of 3 on the official nintendo website or use ebay or amazon
those are really expensive though so i found a website called mramiibocards and they make any for £5 each
they are custom made but work exactly the same and in my opinion they also look way better than the original

They are out of print, so mostly you're just going to see them from resellers on Ebay, Amazon, etc.
If you're willing to be patient, Nintendo will re-release them, which will make them more available at the stores that typically sell amiibo (Gamestop, Best Buy, Target, etc).
Places like Etsy will have homemade ones that work like the real deal, but cheaper than buying real resale cards.

I did hear of a thing called an "N2 Amiiqo" or something which functions like a portable amiibo card NFC thingy which you can just load any amiibo data onto, so you can essentially constantly swap out villagers onto it if you get the data (Which I believe is all online somewhere anyway), They go for like $40 (I was looking around and they are currently hard to get due to high demand) but can fit like 200 amiibos onto them at a time.
You can also grab a Powersaves Amiibo unit which you can write .bin files to. It comes with a small puck that you can scan to upload whatever village you want to it, then you can use the puck as if it’s an amiibo card. Really good way to get around how expensive some of the cards are.

I've bought packs off Amazon and individual cards off ebay. I'm waiting for prices to go down to continue buying.

I’ve been on the fence about getting one. A part of me loves the island hunt, as bleak as it can be haha.

The prices are going up like insane.
I now regret not ordering more on Amazon right when the game was brand new and the demand seemed less as I was able to snag four 6-pack cards for just 20 US dollars.
Now they've quadrupled in price so I decided to wait for the whole craze to die down a little before I make any more purchases.

This is the reddit post I used to make them, Yes it was posted 3 years ago, but it does still work.
I'm mainly doing it to get extra DIY recipes from the villagers when you invite them to your town, I kinda enjoy skipping from one dodo islands to another to finally find a villager. Makes it a bit more exciting for me xD
