I tend to favor the net.

I kind of just swim diagonally, so when I get close to the net or shore I start swimming in the other direction.

I'm swimming everywhere. If I see something near the shore, I'm there. If I see something near the net, I gotta catch it.
I think I'm actually hovering in the middle of the two spots, but I'm just trying to explore at this point!

I'm swimming with the net on the very far edge of my screen to maximize the amount of ocean. But once in a while I'll move closer to the coast in case it has any exclusives?

I like to swim south of my Island, so that I can check the palm trees for beetles while searching for deep sea critters.

Near the net. I tend to do a whole lap around my island to get the creatures lol.

Closer to the net, but not. I swim vertically so I can see what's behind or in front of my character on a wide range. I like to see a bit of the net in the top right corner.
