octobeeeerrr. maples, dead things and candy galore ! personally cannot wait for the PUMPKINS
i hope the redesign for the spooky and creepy sets is so good ! i am really excited for them. say what you want abt bunny day, but i thought the furniture set upgrade was well done mostly. (wish we couls have had the same egg lamp w the cute nest base but OH wELL)
for the spooky series, i hope a lot of the edges get smoothed out and there's more of a varied squash sort of interpretation, less 'here is another jack-o-lantern' for them all
also so so sincerely hoping quality of life improvements are forthcoming maybe as a technical sept update and that the datamined CROPS, HARVESTING AND FOOD CRAFTING is around the corner. but my guess is that won't happen lol. like all men, mr. tendo lives to disappoint me.

absolutely agree with all of this. it is so disheartening to see PC get so many item updates ALL the time and NH sorta just becoming....a game with basic features lawl. esp since NH is supposed to be a game where you...put furniture items outside?? snfhjggfjI hope we start getting items worthy of the game.
It's sad to see PC has premium items, yet they don't put much effort in to the NH items/prizes/seasonal stuff as they did with NL, and currently do with PC.
The Halloween stuff in PC was awesome and that's just a mobile game.
I'm not going to expect much from the update, that way I won't keep getting my hopes up, only to be disappointed at the continued lack of items.
I know we won't ever get the NL items back.

I really don't care WHEN it comes, as long as it comes with some gyroids. Jesus Christ in heaven just give me my gyroids back. I'd rather have the update be later in the fall if it means it'll actually have some substance and bring ALL the features that they have in the files (the "cooking"-crafting, the Halloween event and the gyroids and the museum café) instead of two half-assed ones that leave out half the features and somehow break a flooring in the process

Aww, man, I was hoping there was news on when the next update would be since this was revived 
And I -think- it's supposed to be every other month, but it's hard to tell because the game's only been out a few months. I'm guessing we'll get news of the update in September, and will get the update itself either late September or early October. I'd LOVE to see an earlier update but I'm not getting my hopes up- especially since they teased Jack for the "next" one.

It should have been longer!
The same with the Museum Day. We should have been able to hear Blathers say the exact same stamp rally line every time you walked in there for a month. No, two!

I can see us getting the Brewster update on September and then getting a Halloween update on October. Hopefully we'll get Katrina as well, as she could be pretty fitting for the whole Halloween theme going on.
Having Katrina back would be EPIC!
But, again, I wouldn't be holding out for a September AND October update. The double-summer updates, two months in a row, was hyped as a SPECIAL thing. So I don't expect it to happen again.

Will it be actual cooking, like with the kitchen items or some weird crafting thing with the crafting tables. (I'm already a little confused by customizing the iron skillet to have food in it...)

A fall update hopefully means we'll get some cooler furniture, which has been really lacking in this game so far. AC fall items are always the best items imo.
And bringing Brewster back would be perfect for fall too! There's nothing more cosy than visiting a coffee shop.
Farming should be an interesting addition, it'll certainly bring a lot of interesting concepts for islands!

Yeah considering there is the frying pan thats customizable is just seems so wierd for cooking to be all of a sudden implemented! But yet thats what they found in the data mines..
Man...they should give us some update in September to and not have the community wait two months. I'm going to be really disappointed if we have to wait two months just to get a Halloween update and nothing else of value added.

I read an article recently saying that if there was going to be an update for September, an announcement would most likely be made this week (based on past trailers dates, etc). If there is no news this week, then we most likely will have nothing until October.
That being said, I feel like its very likely they give us something in September, since so far they have had some sort of new content every month, even if it had just been literally one NPC (like Leif or Redd) and not a full-blown event. Nintendo's goal is to keep us interested in the game via updates, least they lose Nintendo online subscriptions.

I'm so excited to experience autumn on my island!

This grape basket will be available in September according to data miners and it has already been hacked into the game. So that is something to look forward to because it's super adorable!
