When you were a noob...

I played for 6 months before I was finally brave enough to do a trade and allow someone into my town. After the trade was done, HE WOULDN'T LEAVE. He was polite, but would ask me to end. I didn't have a clue what he was talking about. After about 3 minutes ( seemed a lot longer though) he finally took the train and left. I thought, WOW, ABOUT TIME. It was probably a couple of weeks later until I realized that you could send visitors home.

I wouldn't run in dream towns because I didn't want to kill their flowers.

I didn't know how to tell if a villager was male or female. I thought Rocket was a male for months.

First time I was bringing fruit to someones town, I didn't know there was the basket feature (not something that any of the other games had)
and so here I am, dropping one fruit at a time >.<

AH. I did that too! But to be fair, there was no basket feature in the older Animal Crossing games so it's an honest mistake. xD

I used to grow perfect fruit, but now I think it is kind of a hassle.

This wasn't in new leaf but when I was younger, I thought Bluebear was a boy.

I didn't know there was a face guide so I ended up getting an undesirable face the first time.
I also didn't know each town got one perfect fruit at the start so I don't even KNOW what I did with my perfect fruit in my first town.
Plus I used to try to catch and sell things like fruit beetles off the island.
I would NEVER LET VILLAGERS LEAVE. It wasn't until an ugly villager asked to leave that I finally let one leave. I didn't realize that them leaving would mean new ones could come in so I forced everyone in my town for months. RIP

I happily chose the first map Rover offered to me (which had terrible placements on everything,) not even knowing that there were other choices....
I eventually reset that town out of pure frustration.

I used to put PWP's in random places. Ugh.
And then I had the Bell Boom ordinance in effect, which not only hindered getting things on the island, but also really had no effect since I never went on forums like these to let other people sell.

When i collected seashells, fishes and bugs of sorts to make bells... and
ran everywhere all over my town... not knowing i was ruining my grass LOL
I'm still a noob regardless. ^.^

I did the same thing with never saying no to a villager.
Now I rarely say yes, lol!

When I first played I used to put PWP everywhere in random spots. It looked so messy.
Once I started mapping my town out, I realized how much nicer and more fun it is to have spots reserved for specific projects.

haha i still say yes until now. I only say no when they buy clothes coz i dont want them to change clothes.

i also put PWP everywhere with no theme or what in the past.

I didn't know you could pick your starting map either. I only found that out a month ago when I started my second town.
I sold my perfect fruit instead of planting it. And I put the campsite in a terrible place, not knowing I couldn't demolish it.

I also thought you could only go to the island once per day. It was because things such as Shampoodle and updating your DA were only once per day, so I assumed that was too. It was a few months before I realised I could go back as many times as I wanted. Heh, good times!

When you plant 7 baskets of perfect fruit along the beach which cost you 100tbt
I had no idea of the value of TBT back then anyway

I took noobishness with your first perfect fruit to the next level. Not only did I sell the first one I had, I sold the second one which grew a few months later. Then when I got a third one I accidentally dug up the sapling when I was trying to dig a hole to put some fertiliser next to it. The fourth one I managed to grow into a tree, and I used its harvests to grow many more.

I also didn't go to the island for months because I thought I couldn't. I'd heard about Club Tortimer and thought the island was a pure online experience. I hate interacting with people when gaming and don't have access to wireless internet, so discovering that the island and Club Tortimer were completely different things was a major surprise.

I sold my perfect fruit haha also I pretty much gave up on trying to dive for the first month of me having a wetsuit because I sucked at it and didn't really understand how to do it. I also sold all my rare catches (fish and bugs) without realizing I should have given them to the museum

I did the same exact thing. No matter how ugly they weere I made sure all of my villagers stayed because I didn't have the heart to say "go away move, I don't like you." Eventually I was unable to catch certain ones and they left without my permission.

Me too! And I didn't know about resetting to get different maps, either.

Yeah, I had Bell Boom for awhile. I honestly don't get the point... You're still making the same amount since you are selling things and buying for the same amount higher.
I remember when I first deactivated Beautiful Town I thought the wilted flowers were a new hybrid, and I pulled them up to realize they were wilted. I didn't know you could restore wilted flowers by watering them, so I pulled up all my wilted hybrids... When my pink carnation wilted I was so sad I watered it to see if it would revive, and that's when I learned you can revive wilted flowers.

The noobish thing I did was going to the Town Hall to check what happened when I heard the town bell go off for the first time on Wild World. I was so confused.

I can't remember anything noobish I did on ACNL though... :p

I still run all over my town. I know it ruins the grass but honestly I'm too lazy to place all of those patterns down and chop down and replant trees.

I chopped down all of the palm trees on my personal island. So, when I found out that the best way of earning bells was from the bugs that appear on the palm trees, I had to grab fruit from the island tours, plant them on my island, and then wait for them to grow. I don't even know why I removed the trees, I think I just felt like doing some good old deforestation or something. :)
