I decided to get Kid Cat and Agent S, so I started my search on Mystery Islands this morning and who did I found instead of the superheroes? The business cat himself, Raymond.

This is the third time now where this guy shows up. First as my forced campsite villager, the other time on "Bamboo island", now I found him yet again on a Mystery Island. What's up with this game letting me wasting tons of NMT and instead of giving me the villagers I'm looking for, I get those which I didn't plan to invite at all?

Welp, gonna change my plans yet again...

Who else got villagers you didn't plan to get but picked them instead of the ones you looked for because they were too good to ignore?

On my island-hopping adventures, I have met very popular villagers. Judy, for instance.

But I don't think any villager, however popular, is "too good to ignore". It really depends on one's personal perception of the popular villager. I mean, the only reason for me, for picking up a villager I don't want, would be for trading/selling/giving away said villager. But I don't need IGB, NMTs or TBT. Not to mention the significant amount of effort and time that is needed to get a villager out.

Since I had no interest in Judy, I did not pick her up. Other popular villagers I did not pick up include Merengue, Octavian, Marina, Whitney, etc.

I'm not following.

What makes Raymond 'too good to ignore' if you've got rid of him twice already?

the main one i can think of is zucker - i was planning on having beau as my lazy but encountered zucker while island hopping and decided to give him a whirl just for kicks and now i’ve grown super attached to him so i guess it all worked out ;u;

but i now also have beau lmao so uh,, call me hannah montana because i got the best of both worlds 😳

Lol that's too funny, meanwhile other people spending so many NMT to find him.

I've passed up on some "good" villagers before, but I didnt want to take them in only to trade them away.

I found Octavian early on but I don't like the octopus villagers so it was easy to let him go. I also found Sherb and I did consider him but ultimately passed. I do have Raymond though I didn't look for him he showed up in my campsite.

Well, I can give him to a friend of mine who's planning making a full cat themed island and surprise her with him. That's why I changed my plans for now to not looking for Kid Cat and Agent S anymore, as I have to cycle him out first which is however worth it if I can make someone happy with it. :)

Makes sense now, then.
