When is the next update?

I’m indifferent to Gyroids coming back personally, but they should still return for the people who want them. I just want Brewster for the café and to drink virtual coffee.
I just want more shops… there’s like 3 special buildings

Yeah, I am also indifferent in regards to the Gyroids returning. I would like to see them, since they feel like such a staple to the Animal Crossing series, but I wouldn't use them either.

I also do want more buildings/shops. I have a spot picked out for The Roost if it is a separate building, but if it isn't then that is just fine as well. I also would kill for the Dream Suite to return, since I would LOVE to explore other people's islands, and see how they designed their islands. Would be awesome to be able to explore islands without having to worry the owner of said island.

I kind of want them to tell us what exactly is all coming back in regard to shops that need a spot on our island. I'm now starting to get more serious with my terraforming and placement. We shouldn't have to wait a half year for them to keep throwing more buildings that are required and than have to rework the way our entire island is set up.

Yeah I do agree with that. More transparancy with what the updates will include would be nice. Like we don't need to know when those buildings are coming, but they should definitely tell us something like, "We are planning on adding the Dream Suite, Katrina's Fortune Telling shop, Lief's Garden Shop, etc... in future updates." That way we can all plan our islands out accordingly.

I'm hoping for brewsters in fall.... I dont think itll come out in summer I think kappn!!!!!!!! He needs to make his debut before fall! And I think gyroids would be a nice update to have way better than the egg hunt.. they couldve done so much more with leif.. the residents services is kinda just sad... but I'm fixin it up all around lol that's for sure

I will be so sad if the next update is pretty small like the pirate update. I want the ~vegetables~ that were found in the code because my theory is: once we get to grow veggies, it will give us sooo many food diys to work with. And tbh the food in animal crossing is my fav furniture item!! Also, we frickin need more furniture/sets in general!! Everyones island looks pretty similar because we dont have much to work with :/ people have to use hat qr codes cus we cant make food shops etc. pls give us USEFUL content nintendo!!!

You can’t have Brewster without gyroids.

I'm really, really hoping for an update with a new building at least. At this point I've grown used to not expecting much because the updates feel minimal to me, they are drip-fed in my opinion, and while some people might like that, it kind of makes me limit myself in my gameplay. What I mean by that is, I am not terraforming or making too serious commitments in my island since I don't know how many buildings we'll get (if any) and whether a certain aesthetic will fit if we don't get customization like NL had. There are many uncertainties in the air by now imo and like they've said above, I would appreciate a graphic or a general idea in order to plan ahead instead of going in blind!

I'm going to take a guess that we will see some information about it this week, with the update dropping first week of August, probably on the 3rd or 4th (Monday/Tuesday).

Wild World, City Folk and New Leaf has the Summer Firework Shows.

They summer fireworks were originally only on the 4th of July for the original games.

I’m excited for the update! I’m expecting the trailer to drop maybe this week? And then the update might drop a week or two after! The firework show is definitely happening, and I hope there is something else cool coming too. I’m scared to get my hopes up

Nintendo's Summer Update Trailer - Swimming, Pirate Gullivaar, etc.

At 1:26, Nintendo says to expect Summer Update #2 in early August, and the background design looks like fireworks.

Previous games had firework shows in August.

It'll be this week sometime for sure. I hope the next update brings something really big! I'm trying to not get my hopes up but it's not working lol. I'm hyped.
