I can't seem to find out why my villager is in October and the ground is still green, when does it exactly start changing colors?

I was TTing before this, and honestly it doesn't get very orange until November, unless things changed with this update. Trees also don't get all red and maple-y until late November, either, IIRC.

I was specifically looking for orange ground for my dream address and realized the ground never gets truly orange. From November 16th-26th is when the trees are red for maple leaf season though and the ground is sorta yellowish.

Yah, the ground never gets a deep orange, from what I remember.
Frankly, a lot of the fall pics I see seem to use in-game filters to make the colors pop more!

Maple leaf season doesn't happen until November, so yeah, it's pretty late. If anything, the trees and the ground turn yellowish then brownish by mid to late October.

Is maple season the same time we'll start seeing mushrooms? I'm waiting for the day I can craft mush stools for my forest

I've been bothered by the lateness of fall ever since I found out about it. In my real life, I start celebrating fall halfway through September. I'm well into a Halloween mood in the last week of September/first week of October. And I love hunting for mushrooms to photograph as early as October. So...waiting till November for all of those things in-game is a real bummer. The scant acorn and pinecone are not nearly enough "fall flair" for two months.
