When getting someone from a cycle thread, when do they move in?

I'm sorry I know this is a total newbie question, but I did try a search and got a lot of false positives.

I was very happy to get a new villager from a cycling thread yesterday, i.e., I spoke to him while he was in boxes yesterday. So, when should I expect his "plot" to go up in my town? I want to make sure I'm prepared so his plot goes in an acceptable place.

it can take up to a few days. Took 5 days for one of my villagers to move in before.

Yep! Bunnie took 3 days for me for her plot to show

I've adopted 3 villagers from other towns and they all showed up on the next day... Villagers from the campsite can take longer to put their plot

for some reason when I got on with my "new save file character" this morning at 6am, there was no plot, but when I logged on about half an hour later with my Mayor, the plot was there! Go figure, maybe it wasn't barely 6am somehow.
