When do you think the next Nook's Cranny upgrade will be released?

I'm thinking in the middle or at the end of June at the earliest or late July by the latest. I'm assuming it'll be in the update after the wedding items update.

Back in New Leaf, the fastest you could get the upgrades were 10 days after creating the town for the first, 10 days after the first upgrade for the second, 21 days after the second for the third, and 30 days after the third for the final, considering you could get all 4 fashion checks in a month.

Basically, that adds up to 71 days, considering you got all 4 fashion checks in that last month, to get from the Cranny to department store.

Since this game is definitely more paced out than New Leaf, and we're somewhere around 60 days into the game, I'd say we're at least due for our second upgrade, which would've been 40 days ago if it were New Leaf.

But then again, who knows what their plan is to increase the longevity of the game. They got a massive increase in sales, so they may be looking to keep players active longer. Especially considering this platform has a subscription to play online, so they actually have incentive to drag it on.

It's hard to really say, but I feel like it'll be either June or July. If I had to guess I'd say mid-late June, which isn't really based off of anything rather than gut feeling.

i am wondering what the timeline was when the game was in development tbh, and how the onset of covid-19 AC demand impacted that timeline. because.perchance it was set for earlier - but the sheer volume users ups number of glitch patches etc, that it might be pushing planned game extensions back.

i wouldnt be surprised if they stretch it out further because its a useful press tool too. get people to check back into the game around 6 months out, yunno?

I'm taking a wild guess that it would be somewhere in June that they would release it as we head towards a new season. I'm hoping for new furniture sets too, as we are quite limited to them at the moment. Never thought I'd admit to missing the Gracie Grace series.

6 months seem very far away to me, I think people might lose interest in the game in the meantime. I don't know if a shop upgrade will be enough to make them get back to the game.

Yes the furniture sets are very limited now, but I'm also pretty confident. The second upgrade has given more items to buy so I dont see why the third shouldn't do the same.

I'm gonna say July because the last event in the game currently ends the last day of June. So the game will probably updated late June/ early July.

I was not a fan at all of the gaudy design. Right now, my island has sort of a woodsy, rustic theme going. A super modern looking store would look completely out of place.

I hope it's really soon. Like early to mid June soon. Like others have said we're up to 60 days in the game now, and even though the level 2 store sells more than past level 2 stores did that's still a much longer time frame than we're used to waiting to see progression.

Cranny 2 already looks cuter and more stylish than the old level 2 Nook N' Go stores did, so maybe they'll go for something totally different than "department store" for the final upgrade!
