My town's name is TubeTown ... named for my Weiner Dog / Daschund (TubeeLuLu or aka Miss Tubesteak) lol
Tubetown has been the name of my town on every platform I have played AC on
I named mine Vernam... I don't know, where I first came up with the name. I named my farm that in Harvest Moon for the GBA (Always used Vernam or Vernar...) when I was like 12 and have just tended to always use it for my farms/towns. I'm not very original and tend to like things being the same.
Mine is Chrono because it means time. My town is based on the past and the present and clocks are pretty important. Every room I design is going to have at least one clock in it and I plan to build all of the clock PWPs.
My town's name is Amyville because... my name is Amy. I've named it that ever since I got the Game Cube version way back when I was a kid. I must have been really narcissistic back then...
TickTock. I restarted my town on May 7th and it was super hard to think of a town name, then "TickTock" came to mind. The origin of the town name "TickTock" I came up with is not because of Tick Tock Clock from the Mario Series, it actually became my name because I needed to think really hard.
Dawnstar. I was playing skyrim at the time and needed something good, but something that wouldn't make me think of the reference every time I saw it. Sometimes I forget I got it from skyrim.
My town's name is Gardenia and I just picked it because it's the name of one of the gym leader in Pokemon
I liked how it sounds so I picked Gardenia. I'm not too creative when it comes to naming stuff haha
I named mine Amaria, based on the Spanish word amar, which is the verb "to love." I wanted my town to be a place of love and happiness amongst all of my villagers as well as acceptance. I feel that there should be more love in the world, and if we can't have love or acceptance in the real world...may as well have it in Animal Crossing lol
I named it Melemia. According to a vocab book I used in 7th/8th grade, mel is a Greek root meaning "song" and emia is a Greek root meaning "blood." Song blood? Like, your town's beautiful, simple to the eye yet complex to make, like a song, and it'll take a lot to get there? Or it'll have a slight murder theme? Or the beautifulness is leaked slowly by whatever is symbolic of the blood so then I make it a creepy horror town? Or your town's beautiful and people lightly comment you about it but they don't really grasp the full concept of it? Or it'll be the last town before I die? I'll figure it out one day.

Wait! I know! Maybe it represents my emotional life; the song representing the purity and truth, the beauty of life, my faith, while the blood represents my constant being dragged down by myself and others regardless of some certain things. The good co-existing with the bad. Yeah, I think that sounds good XD
