what's your current island project?

I'm on day 4 of a new island. Currently prepping it for the 3 star evaluation by weeding, planting flowers and aiming for 5-6 furniture pieces for every house.

My whole island is under construction, but currently, I'm working on re-doing the whole residential area.

I really want to start working on my sketchy area but I don't know what building is headed our way so I don't want to fill up a space and then get some the size of Nook's Cranny, you know? I might just plan out where I want more watery areas.

I have two that are giving me a bit of trouble, one more so than the other. I recently placed Nook’s Cranny near the beach and laid down pathing to create a boardwalk. Looks lovely, but deciding on how to decorate it has been a nightmare. Also working on a villager’s yard who lives up in the mountains overlooking my lake.

Still haven’t taken my Halloween decorations down, so I suppose I will need to get in that too...

I'm going to be working on renovating my entire island. It seemed awkward and crowded, and I think I'm going to try a more simple design, to get the old animal crossing vibes back. I think I overdid it the first time around. :ROFLMAO:

At the moment, I try to design those small ugly empty spots on my island which is kinda difficult, because of the limit space. May gonna plant some flowers and place a few outdoor items there, I just have to come up with something good looking. Otherwise, I still have to design the gardens for my villagers.

I have a lot of space left to fill in with my forest so I’m trying to figure out what to do with that. I’m pretty much done with the town part besides filling in flowers but that will take a while and I was prepare for that. I also have to figure out what to do with my beaches but one thing at a time lol!

I downloaded some custom paths yesterday so now I'm completely re-designing how I was planning on laying out all m villager's houses as I want to go for a much more organic foresty themed island, so most of my time has been slowly starting to get rid of most of what I had laid out already so I can start switching over to my new paths and layout (it's taking me forever so far and I've moved One house haha save me)

My Project is to clear a Part of the island for the Snowball and to make a snow man. At will be the hard part as i have to undo at part just to make sure i got room for the snowball.

currently, my main focus is on finishing up my house! i’m close to having 5/6 of my rooms finished and then i’ll just need to work on the back room! interior design is one of my favourite things to do in animal crossing and so i’m super pumped to almost have my house complete so that i can start working on my alt’s house!

i’ve also been focusing on my campsite + margie’s garden/yard a bit! with my campsite, i’ve come up with a theme for it that i think i’ll like more than my previous one but to not get overwhelmed, i’ve just been doing little bits of it at a time whenever i want something to do. with margie’s area, while i’m planning on keeping the general idea the same, i’ve decided to switch up the colour scheme and so my job with that is basically just customizing most of the stuff that i already have out. mass customization can be a bit gruelling, though, so i’m not really in any rush to get that done and i’d rather focus on other projects atm c’:

as for other stuff, i’ve been working on my nook mile achievements, too! i’ve compiled a list of all the achievements that i’m working on so that it’s easier for me to keep track of my progress and i just do as much as i can each day! i’m ages away from being finished but it’s been a nice pastime for me to do before bed ☺

I have a couple projects that aren’t finished that are currently postponed/WIP since not enough furniture to go with the idea yet. Those just need small items to go on the stall.

The one that I was working on before Halloween was redoing my tavern. After realizing it wasn’t as good as I thought it was and that adding some personal touches rather than recreating the tavern exactly or as close as it was in DAI, I knew I needed to make some serious changes; though now it looks more like Party’s Bar from One Piece >< and it’s still missing something to make it unique and special to me. Also still have to finish my Thousand Sunny (including my alt’s house).

I was also going to decorate around Roscoe’s house with spooky furniture but at this point, not sure how much longer I’m keeping him.

I never made my paths go all the way around my island (just the lower part), so I’ve been working on adding some paths to the northern part of town to make a connected loop.

I have a cafe area that I’m thinking about updating for the changing seasons. It feels a little too tropical right now with coconut drinks and such, so depending on what other food options I can find, I may switch it up. I’m also thinking about changing the flowers surrounding it, but I’m undecided about that.

I’m starting to think about what I want to do for Christmas. I think I want to build a cedar grove area somewhere that can be particularly festive, but I haven’t decided where yet. I also started laying out different flower combinations to decide which festive ones seem best.

My island is also getting overrun with flowers, so I need to clean up a little.

I also need to finish cleaning up my halloween decorations 😅 I cleaned around the island but not around my house which was decorated for the Halloween event.

Other than that I am still working on two major projects. Firstly, decorating the outside of my museum which is split into 2 outdoor exhibits, one art/history one and one nature/science one. I need some more bug and fish models, Gulliver items, and art from Redd. I won't be trading for these items because I want to get it all myself so it might take me a while. Secondly, I need to decorate the main room of my house. I think I want to use the Misty-garden wallpaper from Saharah and I need to figure out what other elements to put with that.

I'm working on moving Sherb's house out of a really inconvenient area. He doesn't have a yard because there's no space where he's currently located. I already made Julian a blue themed back yard so for Sherb I'm not entirely sure what I'll do yet but I know it'll include blue roses.

My project is my hybrid rainbow garden in front of my museum. And my Tudor garden on the lower courtyard. I'm trying to grow orange and black flowers right now, but I might go back to trying to grow more pink flowers to finish the pink section and to get more types of pink flowers for Marina's zen garden.

I'm taking down Halloween items (leaving a few that can work as autumn decorations), doing a bit of tweaking here and there, and working on where the mush/rest of the autumn decorations will go. My house interior is set for autumn, but I am thinking ahead to how I want to change things for the winter.

I'm planning on removing the Halloween decorations and pumpkin patches around town (moving them into one space near Hornsby's home) and getting up mushroom and fall decorations instead. Which means finding other stuff to put near my home and some other spots in town.

I'm not sure if I will make everything fall decorated, or if I will keep some empty areas for winter stuff... I guess that depends on how much I like the new furniture :D

current project is trying to figure out how to fit my villagers houses into a neighborhood area I designated. I've already relocated all their houses and am now starting on a clean slate. It's been painful planning (and joy con drift is driving me insane) but I will get it done (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

currently breaking up my neighborhood and trying to add a 2nd base level lmaooo so it's been a few weeks still.

I have to laugh at the amount of us cleaning up our Halloween decor 😆 Our villagers and Nintendo were doing it all throughout October while we put pumpkins in every open spot.

I regret nothing. Keeping a few villagers. Probably making a third character to store the rest of the pumpkins.

I love seeing everyone's projects! This is how AC is supposed to be played. May our islands never be finished.
