I did hear, I’ve been doing fruit stacks with full inventory since a few days after update. I already got 3 other villager photos this way! I actually replied to my own post too- I ended up getting her photo 15 mins later from a lost item quest lol

Not rng luck per say, but definitely bad luck. Had Coco in the campsite and she wanted Tank to move out! I’d been trying to get him to move out all day so I was super happy. Well... I was so used to not saving, closing the game, then tting forward (in this case to move Tank out faster and get Coco in) due to the method of kicking villagers out I was using, that I DID NOT SAVE so Tank didn’t move out and I didn’t get Coco... HUGE RIP haha

Currently the worst has to be getting Merengue's photo She moved in at the end of May and I only got her photo yesterday which took nearly 2 months and in the end I force spawned it, while I got everyone else's within a month and without forcing it. I gave her iron wall lamps at the beginning, then changed to non-native fruit (because it was taking too long so ate up my iron supply and her wall/table items were disappearing) and then recently I tried the fruit stack trick... all to no avail. In the end I FINALLY was able to get it by repeatedly giving her an iron wall lamp and exited without saving if it wasn't her photo until I got her photo. Even this took like 40+ resets and an hour and a half... for some reason she just didn't want to give me her photo

I don't time travel, so moving out villagers is a long process. Henry asked to move out four entire days in a row, and I thought my game broke or something. I didn't want him to move. But then my step sister told me she wanted Henry, and after thinking for a while I decided I'd let him move to her island. Every single one of my villagers cycled through wanting to move out multiple times and it ended up taking five weeks for Henry to want to move out. And when he finally did, I coordinated wrong with my step sister, and Gonzo moved into that vacant plot instead. To make matters worse, Norma was moving out of her island the next day! Had I been just a day earlier or a day later, I wouldn't have wasted over a month for nothing.

I have yet to break this unlucky streak. Pascal gave me my 17th consecutive pearl yesterday. Maybe today is my lucky day! I might break it, hopefully.

I just spent 2 days and at least 200 nmt's, if not slightly more, trying to find Judy Marshal or Filbert. I ended up settling on Sherb as I've never come across him before and do have him on my list to try, so at least it wasn't a complete fail!

I really regret not taking Filbert the last time I did villager hunting for Judy & Marshal to no avail, I took Fauna but she's not really growing on me yet.

All up for all villager hunts (probably around 800 nmts in total), I still have never seen Judy or Marshal

One time it took me 2 straight hours of diving (and having to sell at the Nookings to empty my pockets) to find the scallop to spawn Pascal. And I wasn't just running into bad luck with not finding a scallop either. It took me finding 4 scallops to get Pascal to show up... all for a pearl -_-

I had 30 NMT to use while searching for any of my dreamies. 24 of the islands I went to were villagers I had already kicked off my island, several of which were repeats. On NMT 30 I got Aurora, who wasn't originally a dreamie but figured she was cute enough and now I'm keeping her forever haha. So I guess it worked out, just a pain to waste all those tickets.

i’ve been trying to get henry off my island for months. it’s nothing personal against him but i’m just not fond of the smugs which is unfortunate since i’d love to have zell, pietro or julian but they’d start talking and it’d all go downhill from there lmao.

anywAys, i found out a couple weeks ago that the last reaction i’m missing is showmanship, aka the one you get when you become best friends with a smug. since i don’t like henry and have spent the last several weeks ignoring him, i was nowhere near being bffs with him lmao. but of course, what happens as soon as i discover that i need to keep him around? he hits me with the “i’ve been thinking of leaving” and long story short, i said yes because i want him GONE lmaooo. not looking forward to having to invite another smug on my island but at least henry’s gone smh

I had been looking around for the menu chalkboards and I only needed two more colors to complete all the variations. I ended up getting each one from two people on this site, which I'm obviously grateful for. Today, I shook a tree on the Mystery Island and got one of the menus in a color that I needed a couple of days ago. Early on, before the bug nerf, I had a lot of trees on my island. I shook three trees in a row and each one had a wasp.
