whats the point of a villager picture?

I usually sell mine, I don't care much for them either.
Some people like to collect them I guess, nothing wrong with that!
Many players dedicate a room or a museum expo to pictures of villagers.
It's just one possible collection among others.

They are only given by a villager when you're at max friendship with them, so they're sort of collectables. I like it as a nice little keepsake of all my villagers. They add a bit of uniqueness to a room since there are so many villagers. They honestly had a lot more value in other AC games since villagers seem to hand them out like candy in NL.

As long as you remain friends with the villager, they also count towards your HHA score.

I only collect them, but they also rack you up a few HHA points. (around 15,000 if I'm right?) Only thing you can really do with them is display them or sell them.

Actually, you can get them on April Fools day. When Blanca comes and trolls you, you have to figure out which one is the real villager. Then, the real villager will give you their picture (so you can always know which one is the real villager)
