What’s the most you’ve sold your town for?

So I recently reset my town for the third time and each time I?ve had my town long enough to where I was able to sell it to Tom Nook. This time I got 32 million bells, which is way more than I got the last two times I reset. Please don?t accidentally delete your town checking it?s appraisal! I just want to know how much some of you got for your towns

I believe it was a grand total of 82 million bells. I've only sold 1 town, and I all my other towns aren't at the stage to be appraised yet, I don't pay off the home loans lol. I want smaller houses for the aesthetic.

I never sold mine, but a friend of mine sold hers for 10 million. I know that isn't much, but she is still fairly new to New Leaf and she said she wanted a fresh start at the time. Though now she is kinda regretting it and I feel quite bad I helped her on it. I guess she will just have to start anew.

For my old town, Mayor Keely of Chai, was sold for 25M bells, including the catalog added to that. But, I don't think i'm selling this town anytime soon, since I'm proud of this town UvU

My other old one, which was Mayor Dawn of Stardust, was sold for 10M bells but wasn't with the catalog.

When can you sell your town? what are the requirements? do you get to keep your same character and things that you've collected like your emotes??

You basically unlock the option to sell your town once you are able to sit at the plaza tree. If you go to the game's menu and go to the part where you can delete your current town, Isabelle ask you if you want to start a new town after you deleted your current one. Once you say yes, Nook shows up and makes you an offer for your current town. You have the option to also sell your catalog, however, if you keep it, you will get access to it with the new character you create in the new town. The bells you will get by selling your town to Nook will transfer to the bank account from your new character. So yeah, you don't keep the same character and you only keep the catalog (if you don't sell it), the bells you get for selling your town as well as all PWPs you unlocked in your old town (but only if you sell your old town as your mayor, like by starting the game, you have to choose the account of your mayor. Also, only the catalog from one character will transfer to the new town).

Oh sweet!! This is awesome!! I did keep looking through town layouts when starting mine so hopefully I will just keep playing it but this is good to know if I ever do want to switch! Also what are PWP's??

PWP = Public Works Project(s), such as benches, new bridges, the campsite etc. you can build in your town once you can do your mayor duties.

I’ve only ever sold one town, my very first new leaf town. I think it sold for around 20mil.

Wow I never realized how much you can get for selling your town.. I?ve never sold any of mine!

I have no intention of selling it, but last time I appraised Historia it was worth around 28 million bells.
