rn its materials because i have so many things i want to craft but i dont have all the rooms yet so i dont wanna make furniture for no reason!! then it's clothes because the fashion in this game is lovely and i pick out a whole outfit and buy every color variation of the item every day at Able Sisters (gotta fill up that catalogue u know). im singlehandedly paying their bills

clothes and mats. im not too bad with furniture bc i experiment on harveys island before i decorate my home, so i dont keep much on hand. i do have a bunch of unorderables i dont want but havent bothered to sell here. i have a hard time parting with stuff i cant get back easily lol.

Materials then fish/bugs take up most of my inventory. Althought I have a ton of fossils and unidentified fossils I need to get rid of.

Clothing and materials. They just have so many cute clothing items that I want to use or eventually give my villagers.
I probably buy too many clothing items since I rarely change my characters clothing because I really love her outfit.

Assuming we're talking about storage, it would have to be materials. It feels like at least half of my storage is taken up by them, lol
