i don’t get this question... does this mean how long i’ve been into the game without getting tired? or how long ive played before quitting the game? lol huh...
I think the question is asking how long you've played before quitting. If that is right, I would say for about 5 months from June to October in 2016. If I'm wrong, probably something around 2 hours
I have played every day since I first got the game in October 2017, and I don't see myself stopping any time soon. When I get addicted to something, I can become very focused on it for a long time.
I think when I first got it I played everyday for a year straight. I would play for hours each day and really late into the night to do trades with NA timezone folks (longest sitting time was like 10 hours straight I think lol). I remember the time I started getting less interested in it was (ironically) when I started resetting my 2nd town to do the 1-year challenge. Now I play sporadically or whenever I have time. I’m invested in other games now, which give me the same feeling I had when I first played new leaf u_u. New leaf will always have a special place in my heart but certain factors make it harder for me to regularly return to it (3ds WiFi being wonky being the main thing).
When I first got it in 2017 I played every day for about five months straight. I got tired of it though and took a break for about a year before I started playing again. Then I was playing for two weeks on and off. I really got into it again last year around December and I?ve been playing every single day since then (with the exception of small trips) and it?s all thanks to this forum. I learned about trading items and getting the villagers you wanted - before last December I was doing everything without help or hacking and still trying to get the items I wanted from Tom Nooks every day. It wasn?t until I started visiting people?s dream towns that I discovered all the cool items you can put into your homes. I?m guessing I?m probably gonna keep playing every day until new horizons comes out.
I bought my first copy of “Animal Crossing: New Leaf” and started playing it—my first town Applewin (see below signature)—on August 17, 2013.
I have created and built other towns over the last six years.
The break time I had from “Animal Crossing: New Leaf” were for “Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer,” which I bought and started playing as it was released here in the United States on September 25, 2015.
I had my fill of that game and returned to “New Leaf.”
Then came Nintendo Switch with “Super Mario Odyssey,” circa November 2017. (I’m not sure of that month.) That took my attention for a while. But not as much as “Happy Home Designer” did in taking my time from “New Leaf.”
“New Leaf,” for me, was near perfection. The only thing that really annoys me in “New Leaf” is having to grind on the island—those games—just so I can buy hibiscus bushes (red and yellow).
These six years are the longest stretch for me having played any particular video game.
I have been playing this game daily for about 8 months now. That's unbelievable to me. I can't believe how long I've been playing now! Times really flies when you're having fun.
I played the game daily for... 4 months, I think. Then took a small break and returned, and now I'm waiting for the Animal Crossing on Switch while trying to desperately finish games in my backlog, haha. I know that when AC will be out, I'll not be playing any other games. xD
What I like about Animal Crossing is that even if the graphics get older, the game is as amazing as ever. Like, you can go back and play Wild World and other AC games and enjoy them no matter what. That's what a truly good game is supposed to be like! <3
And my longest time of playing in "one sitting" was probably around 4 hours.
I want to say June-October 2013 was the longest time I played daily. Or near daily anyway.
I'm more of a binge player. I typically play a game non-stop for a few weeks/months then I move on to the next one and repeat. There's a few I cycle through (The Sims, Dynasty Warriors, and Final Fantasy XIV being other examples alongside Animal Crossing).
I will also add, that I usually quite cold turkey b/c I feel too guilty about going back to my town after I miss a day, so I just don't go back for a while.
When I was a kid, I played Wild World properly for years. I can't say the same thing about New Leaf, I got it on my birthday in summer and I think I gave up on it the next spring. Then when I picked it up again, I restarted my town but wanted to keep the same start date so I just time traveled and played the game on my own terms. I really enjoyed that a lot, but once you obtain everything you just don't have the same connection a normal player would have.
I'll vow to do better with NH. I just really want this to be my one game without a campaign or goals that I can just play every day to relax and calm down. I just really hope evenings won't be as useless, I'd like to keep the time the same for once too.
