What's the last movie you've seen?

My favorite movie ever Moonlight was back in Imax theaters for a day on Thursday so I went and saw that! So good... it made me feel the exact same way it did as the credits rolled when it first came out

After 30 years I finally got around to watching Apollo 13.When it first came out I didn't want to see it because Ron Howard directed it and I've always thought that his movies are okay but kinda boring and the thought of having to watch two and a half hours of three guys stuck in a tiny spacecraft would be a real snooze fest.I'm glad to be wrong because Apollo 13 is rather good.It was tense and moved along at a good pace unlike some of Howard's other movies. Also, this movie answered a question I've had since I was a kid:How do the astronauts go to the bathroom?

“Penguin Pool Murder”— a movie from the early ‘30s where a schoolteacher and detective team up to solve a murder at an aquarium. Obviously, a lot of it is dated, but it had some funny moments. It was also interesting to see how aquariums looked back then.

Last night was the Season 7 debut of The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs on the Shudder streaming service. As opposed to last year's one movie per week, it's now a double feature on the first Friday of each month with a few of the usual holiday specials sprinkled in.

The first movie was the 1925 silent version of The Phantom of the Opera, directed by Rupert Julian and featuring Lon Chaney. It's admittedly a film I'd somehow never gotten around to, despite watching other, more obscure titles from the same era. Of course, I've long been familiar with the amazing, classic Lon Chaney makeup as The Phantom.

Glad I finally watched it, it's awesome, haha. While experiencing movies for the first time via The Last Drive-In can be hit or miss depending on the movie, this was a great one and was what I like about the show, all the information and trivia about the movies. Definitely intend to revisit the 1925 The Phantom of the Opera in the future. Frankly, it's also gotten me in the mood to explore more of Lon Chaney's other roles. I just wish his version of London After Midnight wasn't a lost film.

The second movie was one that I've seen numerous times but is still enjoyable, director Dario Argento's 1987 movie Opera. Arguably the last of his great streak of movies before his work fell off in quality in the following decades. I like most of it, save for the ending, and it's one of those movies that I try to watch sometime in Autumn each year, though it doesn't always make the cut.

Overall, good double feature!

Also, dressed my Pocket Camp character up for the occasion:

I watched Inside Out 2.Eh,for a movie that is pretty much a clone of the original,I was surprised that it was actually a bit better. The nice people at Pixar trimmed some of the fat from the first movie, added some new characters and improved the animation.I suppose I should be complaining that they didn't come up with something more original but,hey...it worked.

The killing jar (again). Load of rubbish, bad acting, don't know why I bother

Legends of Oz. A hollow cg direct to dvd Oz movie with oddly well known people voicing characters. I've seen some youtube videos talking about some of the shady things happening behind the scenes, that was more entertaining.

Last movie I watched in theaters was Mufasa. I was actually surprised that I enjoyed it soo much. It just goes to show that Disney can make some what original movies still. I’m one of those “ I hate the live action remakes “ people.

At home me and my friends watched Deadpool and Wolverine.

Arnold-Schwarzenegger-wearing-st.jpg

I watched Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines again.I've always thought that this movie is the most underrated of all the Terminator films because the first two were both really good and it was released a long 12 years after Terminator 2: Judgement Day.Also,Arnold Schwarzenegger was the only main cast member to appear in this movie.Kristanna Loken was great as the evil Terminator model T-X.

independence day. it was sweet, cheesy, funny and a lil dramatic. i liked it. also jeff goldblum… my beloved. :]

i watched anora. it was a good movie but i don't know if i would've given it best picture. i haven't seen the other nominated movies though. sometimes there's just a bad year where NO movie really seems deserving and some years where i feel 2 or more should've gotten it and also at the end of the day, while there are tangible benefits to winning, it's all subjective and the most important thing is if the art moved you.
