I've never bothered with any dream towns or anything, but I keep hearing about this "Aika village" dream. What is it, and why do I keep hearing about it? Is it like, a Nintendo-owned village? A youtuber?

It's a 'creepy' story theme town.

In my opinion....it's not all that creepy...or great...I guess because I'm so tired of hearing about it everywhere!!!! Lol

It's a horror-themed village that a lot of people found to be kind of scary/creepy.
I personally thought it was just kind of cool and not really scary.

It's a horror dream town created by a Japanese player. It has so much to it that people have been creating theories about it. I don't have the address with me but you could probably search for it online.
The town was updated when the skies are dark and there are houses for you to see so you can kind of get what you think out of it.

It's creepy, therefore funny, therefore cool. Really well thought in my opinion.

First time I heard of it, google it, seems to be a nice developed towm, well thought, as delphine said. He/She must have spent quite a time deloping/getting all the stuff on the town. Look for it, I find it to be good.

The town isn't creepy on its own. It requires the player to really think hard about it and make it creepy.

I'm not a fan of creepypastas because I find them to be a bit overrated but I personally like the Aika Village. My reason? It's actually well thought out and had some effort into it. It's not just bloody designs pasted everywhere with skulls and crossbones. It uses little kids and mysteries to make it interesting. Why is this mitten lying here? That painting was used here too! What could it be referencing?

I'd give it a visit for fun.

It's supposed to be a horror village thing. I don't think it's overrated though since it never really got TOO MUCH attention but a good amount of it.
I went there, not gonna lie I was a little freaked out. I was in the 2nd house when we had an earthquake to make things worse.
In the end I really loved it though. The creator took so much time to make the village and has done a good job.

I visited Aika's DA, and found it more depressing than anything else. Non-Japanese speakers probably lose a lot of it's story.

I supose that that was the purpose to made it like that, not to cheer up, I guess that was to create some negative emotions on the visitor, it doesnt have to be only scared. Its like a sad story.

it's a very popular horror dream town in japan (other places too duh...), according to my japanese friend boys, or kids like horror towns a lot. aika is creepy, tells the story about a girl named aika (all 4 houses are aika) who has bad stuff happen. if you know japanese cultural things it helps make it more scary/creepy. funny thing about it that blew me away is the town took a month to do, otaku, or hikkikomori prolly...no clue. i like the canibal village better myself...but aika did inspire me to make my horror town (which took way longer to do).

I find this town more annoying. The whole section with all the holes and pitfalls was especially annoying because I like treats and wanted them all. XD It's mean! And annoying. And the only PWP they have throughout the entire town is statue fountains. I guess I just don't get it. I mean there's some stuff I can see that's supposed to be creepy, sure. The houses are set up that way. It's alright. It's just not a town I would want to live in everyday.

should visit it because it's pretty well known.
it was very sad, but not at all scary. i thought it was over-hyped. i did enjoy certain aspects of detail, though.
