What’s the best villager you’ve turned down on a mystery island?

I passed on Octavian and Freya.

Octavian would have been my third cranky villager and I already have a snooty villager who I really like. I've ran into a few other tier 3 villagers on tours but Pekoe is one that comes to mind.

from more popular ones i passed on stitches (it was literally my first ticket of the day), kyle, freya, octavian (multiple times), rosie, bunnie, flurry, wolfgang, lobo and dobie.

Stumbled upon Apollo and Pietro while I was island hopping before, turned them down but still neat.

Merengue was a villager I saw on a Nook Miles island and I had 0 clue that she was even popular at all. I thought she was pretty cute but I was hoping to find a wolf or cat villager. I also saw Octavian during this trip. I don't actually care too much for the Octopus villagers so he was a pass. Ultimately, I believe during that particular island hopping session, I ended up grabbing Freya.

Judy. Before I started trading and had no idea she went for hundreds of tickets I like her colors but her eyes are too desu they creep me out a bit.

Oh and passing on Apollo kinda sucked but I have my eagle. I've also found all octopuses (I did have Marina for a bit though) and feel kind of bad for those who've wanted them. I've seen most of the wolves too but I'm trying to limit it to my two I have already.

I'm pretty bad at island hopping
First, I passed Olaf. Olaf! I WANT Olaf! I just didn't know back then. It took me several minutes to weigh the pros and cons and I decided that I didn't like his voice (didn't know that all smugs sound the same) and that he wasn't the anteater I wanted. Of course, he had the most adorable tail and I loved his eyelashes, but I left him behind. Still regretting.
Next one was Miranda. I found her when I still had a good amount of tickets left and told myself that I would take her should I run into her again. Passing her wasn't as stupid as passing Olaf, but she still resonated with me and when I looked her up a couple of days later, I found out we share a birthday. I wish I had invited her, but like I said, I'm bad at island hopping.

More or less popular villagers that I passed were Audie, Sherb, Apollo, Wolfgang and Zucker. No regrets there, they weren't what I was looking for.

I was really looking for Felicity and 80 NMTs made me pass up on a lot, barely remember at this point. Merengue was one I passed at the very beginning, but I don’t regret that, since I neither like the food themed villagers nor rhinoceros in general. I do kinda regret not inviting Blanche though

luckily never had any good villagers that i had to turn down... whew probably zucker? but i don't feel too bad, i already have a marina & too many other lazy dreamies

I turned down Zucker a few times, Chief, Lobo, Vivian... I usually take high value villagers and sell them tho.

I passed Sherb and I regret it. I was just grumpy and it was late and I was tired and I was looking for a Snooty villager and frustrated I couldn’t find any. He’s such a lovely little goat and I am ashamed of my deeds.

I saw Rudy on a mystery island before settling on Sprocket with an amiibo. I was debating on getting him, but I only want one cat in my island and its who you think.

In the end, I settled with Sprocket.
