What's going on here?

It's not the end of the world, guys. Patience. Welcome to the world of modern technology. A couple years ago, PSN was down for a month, and I just went on my way. The world isn't over if you don't get exactly what you want immediately. Yes, it's annoying, but come on. I don't think a thread was necessary. EShop is updated quite frequently, so it shouldn't come as a surprise if the servers are down.

eShop works fine now. Seems they were just updating the shop layout and putting in the Wii U eShop music.

As I said, this thread is pointless now. People get wayyyy too comfortable with everything and absolutely lose it if anything changes, even momentarily. I just don't understand why so many threads are made about issues like this. It's very rare when it's actually a persistent problem that isn't fixed within a reasonable amount of time.

I agree. The PSN problem you mentioned was much more dire than this, especially since it went on for so long. The eShop rarely goes down, and when it does go down unexpectedly for a few moments people lose it. I was just reporting in to say what had been changed, maybe that'd make people less annoyed by the downtime earlier today.

Eh, none of it was directed at you. You were helping to keep everyone calmed down. :D
