Marshal is more of a mild dislike, I don't hate him. He's just overrated IMO, there are better smug villagers.
Zucker just creeps me out.
I don’t hate anyone tbh, but if there’s one I really don’t like, it’s probably Apple or Judy. I just find their eyes too much for me design-wise, but they’re probably sweet tho.
I kinda agree that Raymond is sorta overrated since he really isn’t that different compared to most smug villagers but I do think the massive hatedom he has is kinda annoying and just as overrated as he is though.
Before I say my answer I’m going to say that hate is a very strong word to use and that I don’t hate any of the animal crossing villagers. In fact I’m also going to say there’s not any that I dislike.
That being said. I don’t understand the fascination with Bob. Every other popular character I totally understand, but Bob....I just don’t understand and I kinda got tired of seeing him everywhere lol.
So yeah. I don’t actually dislike him though because again I don’t dislike any of the villagers in the game.
I wouldn't say that I hate any of the popular villagers but there are some that I am not much of a fan of. I don't really see much in Raymond and I personally think some of the other cats have better designs then him. I honestly probably wouldn't take him if he showed up at my campsite and the only reason I would, would be to get some NMTs when he leaves. I also don't like Ankha all that much. I like her design but she was a bit mean to me in NL. I'm also not the biggest fans of Lucky and Coco. I find Lucky to be a bit spooky and I don't really like that neither of them make facial expressions because of how they were designed. I do have Coco on my island at the moment and she's sweet but I would rather another normal
Easy choice Raymond, like I said before there are way better cat villagers (Ankha, Tangy, Lolly) just I don't understand his appeal but I don't exactly "hate" Raymond more so dislike!

Marshal xD. I don't like squirrels anyways except Peanut because she was the first villager to give me her picture in WW. I also don't care about Raymond, Judy or Merengue.
Whitney, Audie, Julian and Coco are the only generally popular villagers I really adore. I'm a bit odd when it comes to villagers anyways as I would die to have Amelia, Monique and Twiggy on my island but they are not very popular at all xD
There's no one that I particularly hate, but I'm generelly not too fond of the apes. They look kind of weird and clunky to me. There are also some other very ugly villagers that I would never ever want on my island (can't recall any names right now), but even them I don't hate since my experience with them doesn't go any further than passing them on an island.
Some I dislike (besides Raymond) are Judy, Lolly, and Ankha. Judy's design is dated and creepy, Lolly's eyes are black holes, and I don't like the way Ankha's design was executed at all as it looks sloppy.
hate is a strong word, i dislike raymond. his design really puts me off, someone else on here (i wish i could remember who it was bc its the perfect description) described him as looking like "he's going to be 30 minutes late to a date and then talk about politics" which sent me jhghjk its so true
Okay seriously, how many times y'all gonna make this same thread. 90% of the posts are "I hate [insert popular villager here]" in every iteration. Why does anyone feel the need to proclaim their hatred for pixel animals, let alone as often as I see it happening here and elsewhere. ffs
never really got the hype around audie. i don't absolutely hate her to the point where i want her removed from nh, i just have neutral feelings. her design isn't all that appealing to me, her eyes sorta creep me out. + peppy isn't my type of personality.

I used to not get what people saw on Raymond, and the little guy decided to appear while I was island hopping mainly for materials and... I mean he's cute, I just had to get rid of his suit (but no maid outfit here pls) and I'm a little sad I can't take off his glasses. I like that his eyes have the same shape of them, because I'm a big fan of ''half circle'' eyes (that other characters like Punchy, Bob, Del.... have). I also don't like his home interior but mainly because I feel sad when characters don't have actual homes (some don't even have chairs or beds, do they sleep on the ground?!). I still not see the obsession (but I can see why people like him, he's quickly growing on me)?
