Banjo Tooie for N64 was my first favorite video game.
Sonic 2 for Sega Genesis will also always be nostalgic, particularly the first level’s boss fight.
And there’s also just something so... stirring and nostalgic about the New Bark Town theme from Pokemon Crystal. I remember playing that game after I received it for Christmas one year and being SO happy that the trainer could finally be a girl.
That theme brings me back to picking out my first Cyndaquil again!

the hours i clocked on that old grey desktop for this game...the multiplayer was PEAK for its time, great maps, fun mini games, intense music, all around best in show. i think it did a great job of appealing to different joys and honestly forced so much coordination and clever thinking with it's time limits and different traps etc.
