I think probably an 8/10. I love all the aspects and all the new things that have been introduced.

I miss the "feel" of the original game, though. I also don't like PWP placements - they're awkward and annoying... just let me put things where I want them. I also don't like the repetitive-ness of villager conversation, though sometimes they surprise me with random gems.

I gave it a 7. It is a great game but gets boring after a while and there isn't much to do if you don't have lots of active friends

I've stuck with this game longer than most, so I give it a 9/10. I like almost everything. I have not yet played the others in the series, so I can't compare them.

On its own merits, I, like most everyone else, wish we could place more things where we want, but even with the limitations we have to deal with, I think this game is close to perfect. Close, but NOT perfect. I do love it, tho!

7
-There isn't enough storage/room
-The dialogue is more repetitive than I remember
-Some PWPs are permanent

Other than those and a few other things, it's a fantastic game.

I gave it a 10. It has it's flaws but it is the game I have invested the most time in (probably ever). I still enjoy and play it and I've owned it for almost a year and that is a great quality in itself. It's a cute and can be a relaxing game which is something I really need and enjoy!

I want to say that I think the inability to control villager plots and how time passes in real-time are a part of gameplay mechanics that the developers wanted. Mr. Resetti straight up says "Ya gotta play the cards life deals ya." and the most egregious theme of the series is simulating real life, including life's unfair "outside-of-your-control" moments like when somebody "ugly" suddenly moves in next to you.

I can totally see how this gameplay mechanic can turn off people from the series in general. But I don't see the future iterations of Animal Crossing ever letting you choose who moves in, when and where, because that's not something that happens in life.

... I think you just inspired me to let my new town be a free-for-all as far as which villagers move in. For real, this sort of thing is what got me into the series in the first place, not having a town full of "perfect" villagers.

Anyway, on topic, NL gets a 9/10 from me. STILL can't hold hands with the animals. Get it together, Nintendo.

8-9/10 - I feel like it has it's positives but also it's repetitiveness and negatives, it does get pretty old quick even with collecting badges ;_; I think n positive terms-being able to place PWPs where you want is a great thing and gives you some customization along with outfit customization and home customization, as far as the amount of PWPs you can place that goes in my negatives. Repetition plays a role; yes! There are holidays and events but that doesn't always hold my interest all that much. I do like the clothing you can choose from, however my Mayor now just wears one outfit xD Totally into her character at the moment. Club Tortimer can be neutral in a ways as it has it's ups and downs. Overall I feel it keeps it's place among classic Animal Crossing games, but with some flaws regardless.

I like New Leaf more than the previous games (Like being mayor, adding pwps, more character customization, ect). However I do wish there were more character dialogues/interactions, bigger maps, and an official way to plot-reset/prevent a villager from moving.

I'd rate it a flat 8. It's great, and definitely an upgrade from city folk and the other games. However, it could be better which is what I'm hoping the future AC will be.

I rated it 10/10 merely because this is the game I've played most by far, as seen in my Activity Log :D

I would give it a 9 out of 10 as well.

There are many great things about it. I love being able to start the game after a long, stressful day and just chill out for a while with my villagers. I enjoy making my town look a lot prettier and it's very addictive. Alot of the villagers are very funny and charming and it's nice to always see them.

But I dislike a couple of things. I don't like the repetitiveness (like having to constantly dig up the fossils in the hope Blathers will say it's new. Took 5 months to complete my fossil collection, after playing almost every day) and there are a few niggling things that bug me as well, like having no control over where new houses are placed when villagers randomly move in, or having to wait absolutely ages for PWP's to get suggested.

Still one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played though.
