SO as we've all seen in ACNH tom nook has finally cracked, he kidnaps you and puts you on an island solely to make him money (lol). In all seriousness you could in theory never develop the town and give it a more getaway type of theme. Do you think you will fully develop your town OR will you stay in a tent and have your own personal island?

This is a false equivalence. I'd be all for remaining in a nature-strong, loosely populated deserted island. But, at the same time, I do want more than two neighbouring islanders with me. So I guess I don't have a choice when it comes to developing the island...

I’m planning on landscaping mine so that one area is a forestry/natural area (with nature type furniture outside) while the other side is a more developed town. But for a while I can imagine my island looking more like a survival island lmao.

I REALLY like that idea, kind of like a small town at the edge of a forest type of look

I'll be turning mine into a proper, fully-developed town, at least until all the necessary things are unlocked. How much further depends on what's available.

I'm not really sure how I'm going to make it work... But I want my town to look like a jungle, but have a little community with shops within it.

Definitely going to make my island more of a town, but reserve spots around that feel cozy and more natural-like.

I'm probably going to be going for a fully developed town, but at the same time, I'm not sure. I want it to be developed so I can have more villagers, but also be sort of natural in a way. Not sure, as we don't know too much about how much the island can be developed. I just sort of liked how the main character in the trailer made her town nice and organized with flowers, fences, and the furniture all put into nice places. Definitely want something like that. Anything is good with me as long as it's a place I can come to everyday to relax. :)

Definitely a developed town. I love games where you can build something from the ground up and when you're finally finished with your creations you can just look back and see how far you've come.

Yes.

Either a partially or fully developed town, I'm not sure yet. Definitely gonna turn the island into a town for sure.

Partially developed town. Somewhere in between deserted island and bustling city. I'm going to have paths and buildings and have multiple people living on my island because of my family, so i might as well turn it into a full fledged village

Half developed town because all i like nature and my island should be more green that is all you need to know also less civilisation 4 me

I?m more in favor of large, fully developed towns. The way I would design my town is based on my preferences of what I prefer more, the city or the country.

In years past, I try to keep a balance in nature and development because of I want to achieve perfect town status. But now, I should do what I like, not do to follow perfect stats of in-game progresses.

I don't want an island that looks like a city, but I don't want to miss out on anything either.

It really depends on the buildings/projects/themes that are available to use. Ideally I think I'd like to do a tropical resort island, but who knows. Would I like to do a medieval castle town? Sure, but will there be more than two items I can use to make that happen? Unlikely.

I like a balance between development and natural scenery.
