One time I found Del the cranky alligator in the deep-sea section of the museum aquarium. I spoke to him and he said something about the oarfish than he moved and was looking at the coelacanth. I spoke to him again and he said:

"They call this thing a living fossil, but they say the same thing about me."

And in that moment, I suddenly remember the exact reason why crankies are my absolute favourite of all personalities. And why Del is the best.
