What was the most difficult fish to catch for you guys and gals?

My most difficult one to catch was the saddler bichir i had 2 of my best friends over so they can keep me company while i fished after like 5 minutes they where both fishing too since i time travel and they usually dont they wanted to catch softshelled turtles and such i spent around 4 to 5 hours fishing for it and one of my friends caught it first she iven wanted to mail it to me xD at the end of the night 2 of us caught it it was fun

probably the Coelecanth. i mean, you can only catch it in limited weather conditions ,and even then it's pretty super rare...

besides the coelacanth (which surprisingly was not the last fish i needed for the enclyclopedia...that would be the mitten crab) i think the king salmon is super ultra hard, especially since it's only available for one month.

The King Salmon, Gar, and Giant Snakehead were some of the last ones for me. I believe the Giant Snakehead was my very last fish and it took me forever to find.

I caught my coelacanth fairly quick i think it was iven on my first 15 fish species found after playing since the game came out i finally found that saddler

I have one town where I have almost all the bugs and fish but there are some missing I didn't play the seasons of yet or hadn't caught there..the blowfish, the Bircher, the soft shell turtle, and a few more not sure which less than 10 and some bugs I need to check the list and make sure also that I donated one of everything I did catch...I am behind on sea creatures though. But this one town I finally caught enough bugs for jungle floor at the museum other towns I didn't do as much hunting in yet.

I guess, I had a lot of luck while filling my fishing list. Didn't have any problems at all.
However I'd say the most difficult fish to catch is the King Salmon since you can catch it only at the waterfall.
Besides the time where it appears is extremely short.

lol the coelacanth was easy for me. It took about 5 minutes in my first town and in my second town the first fish I saw was a coelacanth.

Anyways, mine was either the freshwater goby or the catfish

Saddled birchir and giant snakehead. Those two took forever for me to find on my mayor (who I've caught everything with, finally).

Gar, giant snakehead, and saddled bichir. I think I've only caught those fish like ONCE throughout my 2+ years of playing AC. Honorable mention goes to the king salmon for being confusing asf to find at first because I read the directions for previous games by accident... even then it's really annoying.

Ocean fish are never really a big problem for me, not even the coelacanth. Think the most annoying ocean fish for me was always the tuna, actually.
