Beau! I had him in my NL town, and just loved talking to him. He always talked about how we were best friends and all, so I knew I'd have to find him in NH! Thanks to someone on the forum, he's moved in now and is happily living on my island <3
I have a special bond with Stitches, not EXACTLY YLY because of his cuteness but because he wasn’t a jock, he was in my FIRST Animal Crossing (in general) town! I loved him and he was, yes, adorable, but also VERY sweet and lovable
Although I hate Jocks I do have a nice connection with Roald, as well as Fauna, and many people hate Diva, but in all honesty, she isn’t that bad!
Mitzi was my animal crossing "gf" on the GameCube. She was my favourite and we sent each other letters about our friendship every day. But one day I finally got an extra save card and created a second town to visit and get another fruit. I guess she liked this town more because she moved out and I felt betrayed. Mitzi left me for... Me? But it wasn't my main town. She's still there on my second town all these years later.
In my very first New leaf town I had Vesta. She was a starting villager for me and I thought she was so cute. She was always so nice to me and she felt like a big sister, if I could have picked a co-mayor I would have picked her. I haven’t had her in a town since then/she is not on my island now but I’ve always had a soft spot for her. If I ever came across her on a mystery island tour I would snatch her up so fast! I also just really love her design, and her candy corn colored horns!
In New Leaf Fuchsia lived in my village and her catchphrase was "girlfriend" which I really hated since I'm a man. I simply despised her, but yet she never wanted to move from my town. Now, she moved to my NH island back in April and I really didn't want her, but I noticed she has a new catchphrase "precious" and she was generally very interesting in her conversations and have a nice home too. Now I really love her and don't want to get rid of her anymore, it was a relationship starting with hate, but transitioned into loving her. I consider this one special. (Also something similar with Jacques who force moved into my island as first camper and hated him, but he is genuinely so funny and enthusiastic I grew to love him and he is one of my in-game BFFs now.)
I'm really attached to Olivia,, she was my first villager I've ever gotten in an Animal Crossing game. I got her in my original City Folk town when I was roughly 4 or 5 !
Marshal (obvious, I know)! I had just started playing my first Animal Crossing game, New Leaf, when I saw him in a Miiverse screenshot. At the time, I didn't know or care that he was popular. All I saw was the cutest villager I had ever laid eyes on. Marshal was my very first dream villager. I visited him every day in my friend's town, talking to him constantly. Lucky for me, my friend wasn't fond of him and let me have him when he eventually moved out. It felt like the equivalent of Christmas morning when I walked into Marshal's house to invite him to my town.
fang, i wasn't crazy about pocket camp but it was my first time meeting him since i was a kid and i was so happy to see him again lol. his design is just so cute and i even saved screenshots of him telling me i make him feel feelings again because i'm cringe
Pierce - he has been in my town in every single town I've had since the beginning. He was also my starting villager for two of them. I love him with all my heart. Something about him just clicked with me, and I don't even like jocks that much.
Cookie - she was the first villager I ever loved. She was my favorite as a kid. I remember she was my first friend in the GameCube version, and I remember I cried when she moved away in my City Folk town. If I were to just see her now, I probably wouldn't like her. But the nostalgia she gives me is just too much to ignore, and seeing her makes me so happy.
I met him acnl and at first I had no opinion of him but when I had friends over, one of them was giggling at his butt.
I like cranky personalities and something about a villager towering over you character is humorous to me. Like the human player already has so much power and control, so to me, it's nice to feel "small". Like when he's mad, it's scary (and funny).
I genuinely like the gorilla's design. It works and the silhouette reads well. I think it's funny how their butt design was added. Boone, for example, is a mandrill and he has the red butt. I think it's fun and it's why I really enjoy Japanese design. They're so innovative and have a good sense of humor.
He has a good grumpy face and the old man personality in crankies fits him well. He's just so cool, like the kind of friend you'd want or would call up if you had a scary encounter.
The only bad thing is gorillas stretch out any clothing because they're all beef tanks.
