What to do after you feel as though there's nothing to do more in ACNH?

I've been playing ACNH, but about two and-a-half weeks ago, I stopped playing ACNH, because I feel burnt out and feel as though there is nothing more to do. Any thoughts on how I can stay interested and not bored?

Here are a few ideas I'm gonna present questions for. Have you..

Completed your catalog?
Gotten all DIYs?
Gotten photos from all of your current residents?
Fully set on your island villagers and possibly rotate in more villagers to collect different photos?
Fully satisfied on your island that it's "completed"?
I'm guessing you TT, but if not, have you experienced all seasons?

What I've been doing is rotating villagers to experience more in the game, and keep around 5 or 6 that are permanent residents, instead of 10 of my favorites. I've also thought about starting a fully new renovation idea for my island which I might implement soon.

I thought I was done my island a week ago and have since been going around adding furniture, flowers, etc. to areas or trying to improve how certain things look. Also trying to collect every DIY but it’s going very slowly. I do worry that I’ll get bored soon, though, if another update doesn’t show up by July.

I make custom designs. You could also play around with Harv Island and recreate scenes from movies or photos

I definitely quickly dismissed Harv’s island when I first found out about it, but I’ve seen some amazing stuff. I’ll have to remember to do this once I get bored.

I took a week's break before and it did me a lot of good. I had a lot of unfinished or un-started projects though.

I've been a little uninspired with redecorating, so I'm going to mystery islands to collect more furniture and DIYs (and get mats and villagers here and there, of course). Hoping something neat will spark a new plan. I'm not sure how you went about planning your island, but I think a lot of us are in a constant state of redesign 😅

A lot of people also like helping other players once they feel "done." Hosting giveaways (furniture, DIYs, hybrids), letting people catalog furniture sets, etc. I forgot how fun online trading actually was until recently c:

i try to get 100%! meaning the whole catalog, full museum, island i'm proud of, all nook miles, all emotions et cetera. getting 100% in animal crossing is literally the hardest thing ever

I have gone through different phases to keep myself interested

- Collecting bugs and fish
- Giving my villagers daily gifts, try to get their photo
- Trading/cataloging
- Terraforming/redesigning my island

Remaking movie scenes is a great idea! I never thought to do that.

Sometimes I take a break from my island but after coming back I'm also in the mood to decorate smaller areas of my island. On the left corner I have a little camping area with a fire and logs under a tree with instruments. On a cliff I have a human model just about to go over a waterfall. On the left beach I have a bed at the edge of the water with a screen to make it so no one can escape. Further back I have a doll chillin' on a stool, looking out to the ocean.

I just become a completionist, even if I finish, i’ll just end up talking to everyone and do requests.

tear your island apart and restart with a new theme. lmao jk.
like previous comments have suggested, have you finished your catalog, diys, gotten all your nook miles stamps, etc? i feel like there's always something to do in this game if you actually make an effort to look for it. sometimes i find it to be too many things to do and i get overwhelmed and just close my game for the day tbh hahaha~

Thanks for the overwhelming support everyone! I'll be sure to try out multiple suggestions, hopefully they work out for me! Thanks again!
