So far, my main room is based off the princess set and my second floor has the mermaid set. I'm going to get a basement along with the other rooms later, but I don't know what to do with them. Just for ideas, which sets are you using for your rooms ?

Main: Cafe
Left: Bathroom Spa
Right: Computer Lab
Top: Office/lounge
Upstairs: Temple
Downstairs: Batcave

I don't really use sets. I like mixing things together.

So far, my left side room is a customized pink Rococo set and my upstairs is based around the Princess Set. My future basement is going to be Egyptian themed and hopefully based around a mix of Bastet and Zelda because kitties and Zelda! I'm going to do other themes just to unlock the final challenge with Happy Homes and then I will be Fairy-Tale Based with the entire house.

But my Rococo Set, the Egyptain Basement, and the Princess set are going to be the main themes even when I re-organize my house for the Fairy Tale challenge. I haven't decided what the other houses will be yet (except for the one room house that my fiance's character is located). But I think coming up with ideas is part of the fun!

My mayor's house is just a regular old house that's pretty dang classy, if I do say so myself. The main room is the gorgeous set, the left is going to be an office, I'm not sure about the back room, the right is a kitchen, upstairs is my bedroom furnished with the princess set, and I'm not sure about the basement.

My second character's house is going to be a hotel.

My third character's house is going to only be upgraded to having an upstairs and possibly a basement, and it's going to be an abandoned library/conservatory. It's in the middle of my orchard and it's lovely. :)

My fourth character's house is a convenience store, with bathrooms on either side, an employee break room, and a storage room. It's still a work in progress, however.

Main Room: Old fashioned living room/parlor with mini office corner - Lots of reds and golds. I mostly mix the classic and exotic series with a few other pieces. Has a world traveler feel to it.

Left: Cold beauty spa bathroom - I used Pave, Easter, Icy, and Princess pieces. It's mostly whites, light blues, and blue.

Back: Fairytale princess cafe kitchen - I customized a bunch of Alpine furniture with Cyan and Pink argyle tanks. Then I filled it with food shaped chairs and lamps.

Right: Teen girl pop guest bedroom - The green series customized light green and then a bunch of pink accent furniture.

Basement: Techno-Witch's lab - A technology/magic based witch brews potions and creates magic machines. Currently, she only has a "laundry robot" gyroid. (It's basically all the "what do I do with it" furniture I had left over.)

Up Stairs: Royal writer's astrology themed bedroom - Tons of purple, yellow and white furniture with the various space themed furniture and pieces of the zodiac set. There's a typewriter and some bookcases set up to make a classy work space.

1st Left: Modern Wood
1st Rear: Cabana (Previously Kiddie)
1st Right: Pave (Previously Cabin)
Basement: Random "Rare" Items

Probably getting rid of the Pave set soon, looking to try and max out the Harmonious theme so I can have the fancy exteriors.

Most of people visited my dream address told me mayor Arabelle's house feel like some princess' house / castle c: main room has princess set with bride and groom mannequin with wedding cake, left has small cafe themed room. Juliette's house is more realistic than others, and used mixed furniture pieces from all different sets. She has Living room, bathroom, dress room, study/office, kitchen and backyard..

These are all works in progress. I want to do some things like library, recording studio, game show setup, etc., but I have a hard time giving up the furniture series I love. :)

upstairs: teen girl room with Gracie furniture

2nd character (toy shop):

left: pirate set (from Pascal) and golden series
upstairs: fishing tourney and bug off sets
basement: villager photos gallery

3rd character (sci fi):

main: robo series
right: office
back: mad scientist with my sloppy furniture pieces
left: robo series with space items
upstairs: sleek series (some refurbished to red and cow) with space crew items
basement: nintendo items (want to change this to a "man cave")

I went for the toy-theme, so the main room is the Kiddie series with a bunch of games and toys. The upstairs is the Pav?-set with some more expensive toys, like the laptop is up there and such. And the back room is the fish-furniture, thought it would be a fun thing to have since I enjoy diving so much, a kind of underwater theme going on :D When I get the left and right room I want to have one of them to be the bug furnitures and the other one I haven't decided yet, but I want to keep the themes on the fun-scale, so possibly the egg-set but we'll see :D

I only have two rooms that follow any kind of theme.

The top floor has a tropical theme with the beach and water wall. I put a palm tree light in there and some beach chairs. It is so relaxing too, because you can hear the actual waves from the ocean outside and it adds to the atmosphere.

The basement is a display room right now that has a cute wildflower floor and a ton of villager pics. It's nice to see my collection but I'll probably sell them before too long because I have no interest in collecting them all.

Pretty much all the other rooms are storage right now. :/ I need to organize and make themed rooms but I'm just too lazy and un-creative to do so lol.

Ooh, this is a fun thread!
I'm going for a medieval/fantasy/elvish forest theme in my town, so I'm trying to make my rooms reflect that! I still have a long way to go, but I've mostly planned out what I want with my current characters houses.

Mayor Elora:Forgotten temple/palace

Main: I tried to make this room just look like a simple entrance hall to a forgotten temple. Broken pillars, dark blue-colored lotus lamps, merlions, Leo lion heads on the walls like guardians. It's very dark and kind of eerie, and so far is my favorite room!

zlCfzTI9QpkCcKhvdQ.jpg

Right: This room is supposed to be like a little garden/sitting area, but I'm not entirely happy with how it's looking just yet. It feels a bit too cluttered, though at the same time I wanted it to have a more natural sort of unorganized feel?

zlCfzTJXCEk5Ss27mg.jpg
(I don't have any more pictures yet)

Left: This room is the "eating" room. Mossy floor, same walls as the garden room, lots of plants, and lots of vegetables and mushrooms and "natural" like foods placed on tables or in the corners. Sort of like a room where you would just lounge on cushions while someone feeds you grapes xD

Back: This will be the bathing room. It will also look very natural, with an outdoor bath, plants, mermaid statues, etc.

Upstairs: Elora's bedroom currently features the Rococo furniture customized to Gothic white. It doesn't entirely fit the other rooms, but at the same time I think it looks like a nice, elegant bedroom all the same.

Basement: Possibly treasure room? I'm definitely putting the Master Sword down there with lots of gems. I was thinking about making it look like an actual underground cavern, maybe with the digsite wall/floor, with gems and various hidden treasures.

Ash: Tavern

Main: The main room looks like just like a tavern, with tables covered in candles and various foods. Sconces on the walls, a lute in the corner, and a phonograph that plays k.k. Lucky n_n It's really cozy and so far one of my favorite rooms!

Left: This is the kitchen. I really love this room, too. Has a potbelly stove, clay furnace, barrels, and lots of different food items!

Back: This is a bedroom with several bunkbeds, trunks, a washbasin. It's more like the "cheap" tavern room, aha.

Upstairs: A much nicer looking room. Two classic beds and a few common beds, a clawfoot tub, trunks, etc.

Basement: Not entirely sure with this room, yet, but I think I might make it Ash's bedroom. I might have a loom and spinning wheel, little personal items to represent her as a tavernkeep!

Markl: Sorcerer's Castle
This is my most unfinished house right now ;n;

Main: Castle-like entry hall. Basement walls/floor, plate armor, pirates armor on the wall, throne, etc.

Left: This will be the library/study. I'll have the library wall, several large bookshelves, a desk, cool globe, world map customized to sepia, sketch book, etc.

Back: This is currently the "wizards room", but I might switch this room with the room upstairs so it's more like a "wizard's tower". This room will have all of Markl's magical items! Flasks, cauldron, scrying crystal, lots of gems, triforce, various items that look magical and interesting!

Right: I might make this a music room or a dining hall, I haven't quite decided.

Upstairs: Currently the grand bedroom using the Gorgeous furniture set (and the taurus tub!)

Basement: A bit unsure on this. I was thinking of making a "haunted basement" with some creepy furniture pieces, possibly the hologram machine, and the pipe organ. Just a lot of eerie things c:

That's all I have so far! I might make a fourth character to be like a forest nymph or something, and have her home a little foresty mushroom cottage, or something. We'll see!

That was so long ;n; I'm sorry!
