What songs do you absolutely HATE?

Mainstream pop. God, ew. I absolutely hate "Roar" by Katy Perry. I hate, hate, hate it. If it's on the radio, there is a 99.9% chance that I'll hate it. (Unless we're talking about of Monsters and Men's Little Talks. That song is my jam.)

I don't mean to sound like a hipster or anything, but I honestly cannot listen to any pop radio station for more than thirty seconds. The older the better, the more unknown the better. I find that small artists and indie groups/singers make better music than most of the multi million dollar artists out there.

Also why is it so hard to find people that like classic rock? Not that those people don't exist, but every single teenager at my school doesn't even know what classic rock is. The closest thing they can recognize is the album art for "Dark Side of the Moon," and that doesn't really even count because they've never listened to Pink Floyd once in their life.

I think Gangnam style, party rock anthem and that happy song from despicable me 2 are pretty annoying. Well, I mean there are TONS more, but I don't want type them all out if I can even think of them all lol

Happy and almost anything popular or new. I only really listen to classical music and film/TV show soundtracks. I'm not really too fond of anything with words in it...

Oh my god, I hate that "Roar" song, too. A lot of people at my school keep freaking out about how "good" it is when it's boring pop junk.

Blurred Lines is just as bad as Problem is.
When it was played at my Sweet 16, I was forced to smile. Afterwards, I yelled at my mom and demanded to know why she played that song since none of us like it because of its "true meaning" and she was like "you didn't even have much of a playlist" T_T
hating a song because of its meaning is so stupid. so many songs are about **** like that yet theyre still loved. like i mean who let the dogs out is a song about letting ugly girls go dancing at the club, we all danced to it when we were young and didnt complain about it... enjoy the song because of how it sounds, not of what its about... and its not even that bad of a song anyway and the meaning is totally up for interpenetration ..
+1 your mom for playing it, good on her

the only reason i hate roar is because too much autotune... its meant to be an empowering songs, and she just ruins all the power in her voice with autotune... if she got rid of the autotune Roar would sound a lot better imo

Friendzone by S3RL is literally all that comes to mind right now.
My friend just sent it to me yesterday as a joke, and within 30 seconds I wanted to rip my ears off. I couldn't even listen to it ironically.

anything by one direction, JLS, mumford and sons, my chemical romance... they all grate on me so much.
I don't usually like stuff that's overplayed on the radio etc, because it's all so generic and have the same beat and verse-chorus structure. sometimes I have a guilty pleasure though, like wrecking ball

I'm not gonna' be that guy that says all old songs are better, but a lot of them are. Don't get me wrong, a lot of them are terrible.
But anyways, I can't stand "I'm so Fancy" or whatever that song is. It's just annoying to me.

Honestly, I hate anything mainstream. Most of my favourite songs are pre-2006, so... Yeah.
I also hate almost every rap song. I just can't stand rap.

I hate Happy by Pharrell Williams.

I also hate pretty much anything by the Beatles and Michael Jackson.

^ fun. is sooo annoying omg

happy by pharrell
fancy by iggy azalea
royals by lorde (used to love it but now i'm sick of hearing it on the radio all the time!!!)
dark horse by katy perry

I don't like it when people hate stuff just because it's mainstream. It doesn't necessarily mean it's bad, you have to give songs a chance. My favourite band once had a song that went 'mainstream' but I didn't start hating them because of it.
Obviously it's a matter of taste but you never know, you might find something you like in the charts one day.

I don't think there's anything wrong with not liking a song because of its meaning. :/
