What sentimental possesions would you keep over "valuable" items?

I had a hard time phrasing the question for the topic title. What are items you would rather keep, if their were weird circumstances requiring you to choose that you only take a couple of items with you?

I also dont mean items in an apocalyptic type of way for survival.... just, if you had to flee and you could grab items that mean something to you on a personal level, what would you take with you?

My one possession would be this guitar...it was cheap in a used music store, but it never goes out of tune (I think it's magic 😆). It also means more to me than any other of my possessions because of good memories.

What items would you save?

This thing.
It’s a custom plush that I got from a kind person that creates plushies on Etsy.
This plush is the Male Villager seen in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. You already know why I love this character, so I won’t go into detail here.
There isn’t any official plush of this specific character, so I will protect this thing with all my might.

These stories done as a child (and teen). I can't just let go of these awful written things. Sadly, none of them are the very first one I written; as it was a class assessment back when I was in the 3rd or 4th grade. I don't remember ever getting it back. The stories in the picture were things I written later on. They reek early/mid 2000s

However, They are reminder of how far I've gotten since then and my gosh it's a lot.

The journey continues on.❤️

Probably some of my plushies? Hmm, there's a bit too many to choose from for either comfort or memories.
Honestly, some of my games and at least two of my Amiibos too, based on how I act during tornado warnings.

I've managed to save some items my mom has given me, which I'm immensely grateful for. Even if she's not here, it's a bittersweet reminder of our memories and unconditional love. These range from plushies, written notes/letters, pictures, trinkets, and even a handcrafted pencil holder she made for me. (I still use it, even though I'm worried it'll randomly collapse. I've had it for a few years now.)

I don't feel comfortable sharing pictures of said items, but they truly do mean a lot to me.

Here is the other item I would take with me. When I was growing up, all of the men in my family had small pocket knives at all times. I was obsessed with that for some reason. I used my Dad's to shave plastic peices for car and airplane models. And I used my uncles to sharpen sticks for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows while camping.

I think my Grandpa saw all that, and bought me this little Buck knife when I was young. I have treasured it ever since, and put it to good use over the long years!

My drawings and drawing pads over the years, which are many. Also any family photos.

My grandfather told me to keep his belt after he died. He passed away from cancer. I don't plan on letting it go.

I also have his baseball bat. He was a little league coach.

It was really difficult to me to answer to this question because I thought I was really not attached to somthing particular, but I asked myself: if my house was burning, I would try to save something?

And the answer was:
My junk journals (they are not the classic junk journals made with actual junk... More like journals where I put everything inside).
They contain everything: the things I love, what I'm loving in that period, stories about special moments, photos, drawings from the people I love, tickets... All my memories are written there and sometimes even going back to 1-2 months make me discover things I totally forgot, so iagine how it is when you see a journal from 3-4 years ago!
