What new bugs and fish introduced in June have you caught so far?

I um got the Goliath beetle, drone beetle, firefly, and rainbow stag. Nothing from the fish yet, but I also haven't played much in that sense

I haven't done any fishing in June yet, so I haven't caught any sharks. But I've already managed to catch a firefly and a mosquito.

I hope mosquito bites aren't as common as they seemed to be in NL, though - it was kinda funny the first time it happened to me in past games, but it got pretty annoying when nearly every time I'd stand still for more than a few seconds, a message would pop up saying I got bit by one...

I've been having so much trouble catching the new bugs, I've decided to go on a Mystery Island last night. Got lucky and I ended up on Money Rock island.

I plucked all the flowers, chopped all the fruit trees and removed the stumps. I left the coconuts alone. I begin circling the island and managed to catch the the Drone Beetle, Rainbow Stag, and Goliath Beetle. Plus, the mosquito. The giant water beetle can be a pain though.

This reminds me of beetle farming in New Leaf.

That's where I ended up!
I came back with 9 rainbow stags.

The giant water bugs were a pain.
I dug holes in the center island after smashing all the rocks so tiger beetles wouldn't spawn there, then pole vaulted back and cut down everything except for one tree, and a palm tree.

Well it seems like not much are from the southern hemi, you guys probably all already caught it but I managed to catch an oarfish!

I'm just missing the giant snakehead, piranha, and golden stag. I swear the piranha doesn't exist. I spent an hour fishing in the river and got six angelfish but no piranha haha

The mosquito was also strangely hard to find

I've actually caught most of them already. All the new bugs have been caught, and of the 14 fish, I only need 4 more:
Arapaima
Gar
Giant Snakehead
Saddled Bichir

Giant Snakehead will likely need to wait until the weekend due to its time of availability, while I feel like I should be able to get the other 3 soon-ish.

And, I've caught all new fish and bugs for June. The rainbow stag was the final critter. I'm pleasantly surprised how common the more expensive fish are. I've caught 7 great white sharks alone, on top of at least 4 arapaima, 4 hammerhead, and a mix of others. The dorado is a gorgeous species.
